Bernie is a fucking moron for not disavowing a dictator. A shit ton of people in a swing state hate Castro and only neckbeard Bernie bro’s will defend Castro. Hemming and hawing about castro will fuck Bernie ip in Florida.

LOL Obama had the same position and won Florida twice.

So is Bernie Sanders actually planning on drastically reducing America's political/military power in the world or is he just saying things that college students like to hear?

He is dead serious man and that is one thing he can do even without the support of the senate.

I wake up every morning and thank God for Fidel Castro

Highly skeptical...and what are the consequences of this withdrawal from the world?

That is a different discussion. I am only letting you know he is dead serous about getting us out of these wars and will do it.

I don't care to defend the position or anything like that I just wanted you to know he is not lying about it.

he needs to let this castro shit go. There are far more important things to be nuanced about. It's politics. Not a college class. Obama did. it's a pointless hill to die on.
Yup. He’s stubborn, though. I hope he doesn’t Howard Dean himself with this Castro nonsense.

...are you seriously forgetting all of the isolationist rhetoric that Trump was throwing around in 2016, which caused warmongers like Bill Kristol to turn against him.

A lot of people don't give two shits about foreign interventionism.

What are the consequences of playing world policeman in the past two decades?

The Iraq war alone led to upwards of a million deaths in Iraq and facilitated the rise of ISIS.

Bakari Sellers on CNN pretending like SC is the key to the nomination with 54 delegates up for grabs... 3 days later 1357 delegates are in play. Also, why does SC get a debate when Cali and Texas vote in a week?

No, I remember. Turns out it was mostly rhetoric.

He's not the one bringing it up. I don't understand your complaint.

Not to mention the trillions of dollars we spent there.

@Fawlty apparently not everyone thought Buttigieg was a disaster. I'm actually surprised. The little that I saw left me most impressed with Bloomberg, Klobuchar, and Warren in that order. Probably least impressed with Biden and Steyer.

Yeah, he was full of shit, but it didn't hurt him at all with the Republican base or the six million Obama voters who crossed over to pull the lever for him.

In the 2016 general campaign, even the fucking New York Times was running editorials saying that he was a dove compared to the hawkish Hillary.

Being anti-interventionist while talking about raising the standard of living in the US helps Sanders.

uhh Obama is much more critical of Cuba under Castro than Bernie is.

Maybe Bernie has said other things about Castro but in this specific interview that everyone is grilling him on, he said the exact same thing Obama said.

For me it was incredibly painful to watch him meekly back down to Bernie time after time, and his talking points were wired totally wrong for a large portion of the debate. I think people generally get a good feeling from hearing him speak evenly and intelligently, so maybe his floor is kind of high in debates? That was not his A game or his B game though.

It bugs me how presidential and shit-together Bloomberg sounded. Though if he does somehow win, I take some comfort that he's a very smart adult.

Mike "I know a lot of black people" Bloomberg is gold when trying to act like he understands.
