Top 5 games you put the most hours into

NBA 2K20, this has been my go to during Covid. I wrapped GTA 5 after not playing vids for a decade, then wrapped RD2 and since have been paying 2K20 and I have to have more hours in that game at this stage then voth of the massive previous games. It's so addicting its insane

I don't have an exact measurement, but I'm pretty sure it would be:
1. WoW
2. Diablo 2
3. Mount and Blade Warband
4. Oblivion
5. Rift or Path of Exile

KOTOR and Dragon Age: Origins are the only heavily story focused games that I've replayed, but even two or three play throughs of those doesn't match the hours you can dump into other styles of game.

With all the mods ive installed over the years Doom is definitely top of that list.
I've played Binding of Isaac:Rebirth semi-regularly since its release so that would probably be next.
logged in over 1,500 hrs on CS:GO and its my top played steam game.
And Vice City and San Andreas to round out the list thanks to their multiplayer mods i played frequently at the time (MTA:VC and SA:MP)

Awesome game. Played untill my fingers bled!

Ghost Recon wildlands
Again.. played untill my fingers bled. I tried every option when completing missions. It's such a blast when you kidnap some sicario and throw him in the back of a car or in a chopper!

Splinter Cell blacklist
There are 3 general playing styles. Stealth, semi stealth and bull in a china shop. I completed every mission in every style. There where times where no NPC even knew I was there. Complete ghost. Super addicitive!

Red deam redemption 2
What is there to say. I could spend hours and not do a single story related mission. Just camping, hunting, fishing and fucking around in the beautifull open world. 10/10

You have over 5k hours in Necrodancer? The game is cool but I can’t imagine pumping in hours anywhere close to that. Do you have a screenshot? You a speed runner or idle hours? You must have a great sense of rhythm lol.

I’m playing NecroDancer on console so there are no statistics showing you the amount of hours you put in the game, but I thought that was a fair estimation considering it took me almost 5 years to get all the trophies. Here’s a screenshot of the platinum:

For future ref, if you have a ps5 you can. Go to your profile on the console, then move over to the games tab on there. It'll show when you last played a game and how many hours you've played it for.

Seeing this thread bumped I’m definitely going to double down on my answer from 2020 about Diablo II being one of my most played games as last year Resurrected came out and according to my PS5 I dumped about 150 hours into it between September and December. So add that 150 hours to whatever I put into the game 22 years ago.
