Seven people were detained when military forces stormed a tanker suspected to have been hijacked off the Isle of Wight.

"Sixteen members of the Special Boat Service (SBS) ended a 10-hour standoff which started when stowaways on board the Liberian-registered Nave Andromeda reportedly became violent.

The stowaways, believed to be Nigerians seeking UK asylum, were handed over to Hampshire Police on Sunday night.

The 22 crew members were found safe.

BBC defence correspondent Jonathan Beale said British forces descended on to the vessel by rope from four Royal Navy helicopters after nightfall.

"The seven stowaways - believed to be Nigerians seeking asylum in the UK - were detained and handed over to Hampshire Police," he said"

Well, the propaganda is certainly accelerating the problem. But it has been proven time and time again that when a bunch of people reach a certain level of comfort, security and stability, they actively start finding ways to fuck it all up for themselves, and everybody else.

It just seems to be embedded into our DNA. We're required to live in a constant, hellacious cycle of struggle and adversity, in order to reach our peak performance, rather than ever being able to lay back and enjoy the moments of peace and quiet, without inevitably degenerating to the sort of creatures that can no longer produce, nor maintain, such peaceful and prosperous circumstances.

3rd world immigration merely seems to be our latest "trick" in literally importing problems in our midst. Previously it used to be warring over some meaningless piece of land somewhere.

Well, getting softer and less militaristic certainly didn't help them, while they still had barbarians roaming about.

Obviously there's a lot of factors that contributed to their decline, but losing sight of what made Rome Rome, was a pretty big part of it. In the end, there was really nothing holding the Empire together and it pretty much fell apart into numerous petty kingdoms. Eastern Rome of course, marched on, until their fall at the hands of Muslims (with an assist from Crusaders).
