Joe Joyce vs Usyk

Hope it happens. It'll be interesting to see how Usyk handles someone with that type of size and pressure. He recently beat Chisora, but Chisora doesn't have a jab and is a small HW.
You could just watch the first time they fought when Usyk beat him relatively easily.

Wasn't he coming off surgeries and injuries in both his HW fights so far?
Well, looks first info about injuries happened between time : after fight vs Briedis and before fight vs Gassiev.
Then later looks most likely injuries again had pooped up etc.

+ Usyk style isn't like for Loma at all, still he needs speed and agility a lot for his style.

He couldnt pin him down last time, expect the same. Its one thing to beat the odds against an unknown quantity like Dubois, something different to upset a world class operator. Especially one who's already kicked your arse.

Did you see Usyk/Chisora?

You could just watch the first fight between Fury and Wilder... Then you'll know how the 2nd fight looked.

This means everyone that wins a fight will win the rematch.

Yea, plus in the same fashion they won the first fight. Boxers don't change over the years, and there's no difference between amateur and pro.

I think Joyce is sort of a one trick pony, no?

yup, we know the brick wall we’re running into, why even try to explain Joyce has improved or started late and was one year into his pro career when he fought Usyk smh...

Tell me whats better about Joyce now than when they fought years back. He's slower, his workrate has dropped off- easy 12 round decision for Usyk.
I guess he's got a reasonable punchers chance, considering how porous Usyks defense is but thats about it.

You both have it wrong, the rematch doesn't just go the exact same way as the 1st fight did, the rematch is actually just a replay of the 1st fight with the word LIVE in the corner.

I can see why you'd be confused.

Sounds like nonsense. Don't you think the rematch is @Seano playing boxing on his Playstation with the boxers that boxed for real as amateurs once?

I think his work rate and stamina is just fine. You can’t expect his work rate to stay the same as he fights better opposition while being heavier than before.

I haven’t really noticed that much of a drop in his count unless your speaking off the Dubois fight in which he fought very cautiously.

Like I said he was just a year into his pro career, he started late and was pretty green. He has more experience now. He constantly moves his head and how ever slow he does it, it’s effective. His jab is stiff, heavy and accurate and his tank lets him apply pressure effectively for his size throughout the whole fight.

if Chisora smothered Usyk and landed clean I don’t see why Joyce can’t. It’s makes the fight that more entertaining as long as Joyce has that chance to catch him. He can lose a UD but he still has improved since his last encounter with Usyk and Usyk has lost a step in speed so no matter the outcome I don’t think it’s an exact repeat of the first fight.
