What's Your Next Purchase? V5

Finally looking at finishing an Aero M4e1 build. Ordered a 10 inch 300 Blackout complete upper last night. This will likely be a backpack gun in the end. Just need a LPK and a Law folder to get all my Lego pieces together.

Pretty sure Optics Planet fucked up an order. Ordered a CMC LPK, Midwest Mlok handguard, and VLTOR mod4 medium latch charging handle.

It's listed as shipped. I got the LPK and handguard but no charging handle. Account says all parts shipped so... wtf?

Ask 'em to ship what's missing and if they refuse do a chargeback through your credit card.

All's well that ends well?
Pretty much lol.

Also, the place I had ot put it together has a really good gunsmith... but pretty sure he's a fudd. I grabbed a buffer spring off the shelf and he goes "it's a pistol brace that's a carbine buffer". And trying to NOT be a dick remembering the shit that gun store folks deal with thanks to @Roaming East and his thread I go "my understanding was an SBA4 brace is on a standard milspec buffer so you can use the standard carbine buffer spring".

He insisted I was wrong so I put the spring on the shelf. I'm going back and buying it tomorrow cause I know for a fact I am right lol.

Lol. Should have bought it and told him you'll find a use for it either way.

Let me know how that scorpion is.
Finally got a chance to shoot this damn thing....I gotta say it's pretty damn sweet. And the trigger, especially for a striker gun, is damn nice.

Also took the vp9 with rmr and g48 with rmrcc. This trip was the first for all 3. Hk and sig ate everything....and the sig was dead accurate with the rmr. The g48....I was ready to throw it against a wall. Bastard wouldn't extract a round. So it got tossed in the bag until I was done shooting.

Got home and tore the gun completely down....turns out a mounting screw for the rmrcc plate was a tad too long and not allowing the extractor plunger to move freely. Problem fixed....but not sure when I will get a minute to shoot it again.

Never thought I'd read that.
Well the DD is neutered in California. (Bullet button). Transferred it to my old man in NV so he took the bullet button off to sell it as a regular one.

So if I want a legit one I need to sell it our of state and buy one with a chief's letter that is an actual AR. I need to decide if I want to spring for a more expensive one like a colt monolithic upper or save the money and buy the M&P Sport.

I can't carry it on duty so I may just save the cash and get the sport.

What's the price difference and what else is available to you to purchase?

If you can find a mid length it is worth it imo over a 16" carbine gas length.

This is probably what I recommend most when talking about 1k price point. Not sure if buying online is an option for you.

Like 3 to 400 difference between the M&P and the Colt.

Also were limited on stuff approved by the department and available at a handful of LE sellers.

Well do what's best for you and your financial situation. If it's that much of a pita to get a real unneutered rifle I'd probably splurge and get something of higher quality personally.

I'm on the fence on it. On one hand I agree.

But at the same time I am worried some other ban will go through either state or federal and I'll have to part with it for less than I paid. Especially since its registered by the PD and they can force that if they want to since the only way to get one is on letterhead from the Chief.
