The guy Anderson is fighting doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page; he any good?

some good odds and matchups on this card

can anyone help me with the Wilson V Claxton fight? I cant watch it anywhere even with a VPN. I need to know how he looked against a wrestler AND in a 3 round dec win too. Brief summary???

I wouldn't say good. He's got some above average striking but he keeps his hands really low (left lead hand seems to just hang around below his waist). Seems to have pretty aggressive GnP. From what I found online, most of his opponents were complete shit and/or had no TDD. Corey should wrestle fuck him and finish him imo unless Yag catches him with a knee coming in for the TD. Corey is definitely the better wrestler here.

Corey seems to throw more volume and is the more refined mma fighter. Also doesn't keeps his hands low after throwing punches.
*Corey doesn't spam / rush in when his opponent is hurt whereas Yag definitely does.

I could see this going the same way it went with Manhoef

The first 3 mins is wilson controlling Claxton against the cage. Someone’s mouthpiece fell off so the ref tells them to hold position. When they restart they break off and Wilson lands a nice uppercut, Claxton a straight. Claxton manages to reverse and get Wilson against the cage , takes him down with a leg sweep from the clinch. They fall to half guard. With Claxton on top after a few seconds he passes his guard into full mount. Wilson turns over and claxton gets into rear naked choke position . Both are in sponing side , wilson fights the hands , this goes on until the last ten seconds. Wilson reversed Claxton and gets the top full guard and starts laying down punches. No doubt he wins the first round with 3 mins of ctrl time and winning a few strikes.

2nd round they exchange strikes, Claxton lands a few kicks, most defended, wilson lands a nice left straight multiple times, from southpaw stance of course.Wilson wins most of the exchanges, around the last two and half minutes , Wilson slips Claxton punches and gets the clinch against the cage shoulder to chest over under, Wilson exchanges in dirty boxing, occasionally breaking apart landing strikes etc. the round ends with Wilson getting last two half minutes in control time.

the 3rd round starts again with both guys exchanging, claxton lands a few calf kicks on Wilson who leans heavy on his lead leg, after only one minute, wilson pressures him with punches ,gets the clinch against the cage he would control him for four minutes , landing elbows and dirty boxing. At the last minute Claxton pulls guard and gets a triangle lock, not very tight, but hits him in the head with hard elbows, wilson fights off the elbows with his arm preventing him from landing. At the last few seconds claxton flips the triangle to the top position while wilson is half leaning on the cage, the bell saves wilson.

Wilson estimated got 9 mins of cage ctrl time, while the ground game was claxton, getting two passes 1 of 2 takedowns , wilson got 0 takedowns but did a beautiful job of wall and stalling. I rate his wrestling 3 of 5 and his bjj a white belt or blue belt at best, maybe blue is too much. He has a wrestling base , so he can explode out of things and get reversals, but his bjj needs work. He was strapped into two sub positions, triangle and rnc. Overall he dominated the exchanges and the clinch control.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown, much appreciated. How did his striking and cardio look??

This ones tough as Pedro gives up so many takedowns and his back constantly, and Jay Jay loves being there as a Jits Brown belt. Pedro does a good job of unhooking one hook and turning into the opponent, its almost like he wants to get his back taken. Even fighters like Sam Sicilia get there lol. Pedro does have great standup and cardio and decent ground game him self.

you double up, a good way to start the ufc parlay get it up to a few thousand. Even putting 1000 you get extra 300 for budd in a 3 way parlay.

im uploading the fight on youtube, i got the names mixed up, wilson was the one who pulled guard . Give me a second ...

let me know if you seen it, i will have to remove the video tomorrow afternoon to avoid yt censors from flagging, the filter and effect should thwart the censors.

Yep that worked.

- If Homasi mixes his striking with wrestling, like he did against Millender, he will win a decision. @+165 is a good gamble.
- Alberktsson @+170 is surprising. Big Nemkov is not nearly as good as Vadim Nemkov. Karl is way better than his 10-3 record suggests.
- Burnell @-245 is way too wide. This will be a very close fight.
- Mowry, Anglickas, Budd, Gibson, and Vadim are locks.
- Carvalho vs Wilson and Corey vs Yashimuradov are toss ups.

I dont think you are giving Yags his due credit. Corey is the better wrestler with heavier hands but Yags is a pretty good counter puncher, has better hands than Corey, and has way better TDD than Manhoef. This isnt an easy fight for Corey by any means, particularly if Yags can keep the fight standing (which wouldnt be all that surprising, IMO)

The fights i saw him in suggested he throws windmill punches. I actually never saw him throw any solid counters. But that's all that was available on YouTube. Some of his opponents looked incredibly out of shape as well.

Didn't Rogers beat Ryan Hall at tuf? How is he such underdog vs not really that elite guy like Burnell? (At least on his ufc run he wasn't. He is young though so there was room for improvement.)

Also Albrektsson a dog vs the worse Nemkov.. Interesting imo.

Burnell would be ranked if he was still in the UFC. He toyed with Arnold Allen for most of their fight.

Allen had similar problems with Alan Omer in his debut but got the comeback choke in that one as well. To me early ufc career Allen just fought to his opponent's level more than anything but not saying Burnell is bad. Just a bit surprised with the odds.

Gift line: Corey Anderson itd is +310. Are they on drugs? I'd say it should be even.
