The perfect gloves for amateur and pro competitors...or if you just train like one.
These professional quality gloves have been featured in some of the top boxing and kickboxing fight cards.
Handmade in Thailand from top grain leather construction
Shock-absorbing, high-density foam core
Thumb attached for added safety.

Hey, here's a pic of my new fairtex gloves.

I sold my bgl3s because they were just plainly too soft for me, for either sparring or the heavy bag.

I saw these bgl6's. They are normally sold sizes 8-10, (intended for competition), but you can have them special ordered any size up to and including 18 oz and many color variations

Black/White: 18 oz

These gloves are a 9.9/10. They are so comfortable it's ridiculous.

The foam is much thicker the BGL3's, although the foam isn't really, "High density", its thick multilayer foam. softer on the outside harder in the middle. its perfect thickness for just about anything. They are pretty heavy though.

The quality is superb, they fit absolutely perfectly for my hands. every stitch is perfect. These gloves are a steal. The thumb the knuckle is just so ideal fitting. It fits, like a glove". For only costing $93.50, they are a steal and i have no need to try cleto reyes or grant after these.

And I thought the boons were comfortable!

Great review! Got confused for a second and thought this was your previous review for BGL6. Now all you need to do is review the BGL1. :D

How is the fit on these. wide, slim, or somewhere in between.
Have you tried the BGL7 as well? If so, how do these compare.
How is the wrist protection.

You mean my BGL3s. Never tried to the BGL1, maybe that will be my next purchase:)

Your hand slides easily into the glove, especially with that smooth material that fairtex uses. Your knuckles and thumbs are so perfectly in there place.

As far as the fit, I have large hands and there is just a little bit of extra room, plenty for wraps/gauze and tape. Nothing is cramped or overly tight.

They're not nearly as tight as my top kings, the shape is just different. The padding is very thick, but not overly hard.

I find the wrist support excellent. You put your hand inside and it really feels like your whole wrist is being gripped. When they're tied up, you're whole hand and wrist feels extremely secure. I get the wrist taped around the cuff, just to keep the strings down, not for extra wrist support.

Honestly, they are the most comfortable gloves ever. not that the bgl3s were uncomfortable, but the padding on them is much better If you have smaller hands go for the 16 oz.

I've never tried to the BGL7s, but from what I understand, they are tight fitting mexican style gloves, and probably aren't as comfortable as these are. The BGL7s take a lot of time to break in, these gloves, the padding is perfect.

When I squeeze the foam, you can feel the soft outer layer, but it's tough to penetrate. When I put the gloves on and press the foam on top of my knuckles I can't feel a thing.

The BGL7's are probably a more balanced glove, so if you want a glove that feels a little lighter maybe go with them. I also understand the interior material fairtex uses in the BGL7s is more rough on the knuckle area

as far as hand protection they are probably compatible, although, the BGL6s are more comfortable from the start. Expect alot of use to break the BGL7s in. The bgl6s also have over 2" of foam over the knuckles, (multilayer foams). The BGL7s uses Latex foam, pretty typical of mexican style gloves.

Wrist support is a toss up, although the bgl7s may have more padding in the wrist, but you can get the bgl6s as tight as you want them.

I was actually going to try the BGL7s, but these gloves are just as good, and probably more comfortable. can't go wrong with either, but the BGL7s are a few bucks more expensive.

Thanks for the in-depth reply. You're right, I did mean the bgl3 review. So many damn lace models.

I have the bgl7 in 14 oz. and everything you described is on point. Rough lining, excellent wrist support, tight fit, long break in period. Once broken in, they make a great glove.

I plan on picking up a pair of 12 and 16 oz. gloves in the next few weeks. I thought I knew what I wanted but your review has me second guessing.

yea, you should really try these. I'm not at all opposed to breaking gloves in, but these gloves are just too comfortable, and you're not sacrificing protection for comfort.

Thanks again. I think I might get these.

Now all I have to do is decide if I want a pair of the bgl6 in 16 oz. for sparring and 12 oz. Campeons for the bag, or the opposite.

Would these make good sparring only gloves for boxing or would the BGL3 be better for that use?

I do not intend to hit the bag with them. Hence, the question

All the best
Gus

Sorry to go a bit off-topic.
Can anyone here tell me whether BGL7 and BGV9 are exactly "same"?
I heard BGL7 gloves are great and i wanted to buy them for bag work. However laces are just troublesome.

All the reviews and product descriptions I've read suggests that they're the same glove. I think they're a little too hard for sparring anyone but people you want to hurt imo.

No way you can spar with those.

They are VERY dense.

What would you consider has denser padding Boon or the BGL-6?

I recently purchased these in 12oz from my trip to thailand. After 4 weeks of use in thailand I'm not impressed. I damaged my knuckle wearing these and can't punch with any real power on my right hand till it heals. They are very well made and quite comfortable. The leather on the underside of the glove around the wrist looks excessively wrinckled. I don't think they offer enouugh protection for my knuckles or my wrists. I'm not sure if I received a bad pair but I really don't like them. I've got small hands but I can't even fit my winning knuckle guards in with the glove. Note, 2 friends purchased the same gloves from the same place and were reasonalbly satisfied.

Comparing them to my boons, the BGL6 looks more slimline and open up a lot easier. IMO the boons give more knuckle and wrist support. There is more padding around the boon's wrist area. The boon's padding seem stiffer. Some of the interior of my boons detatched near the finger area whereas the fairtex is still fine.

TLDR: didn't like them in 12oz.

love me some fairtex. I use those in 10oz for fights, they are great gloves.

they're fight gloves so yes, it's not like they're made for children
Thx. I am looking for lightweight gloves for speed training. Dont want to spend $260+ for guerrero or phenom xdt200 or cleto reyes safetec.
I can get fairtex BGL6 for $100 include shipping to my country indonesia.

I can vouch for them for the money it will be hard to find better fight gloves. Some prefer these over winning fight gloves
