Kentucky Derby and Beyond (Part Deuce)

Congrats guys! It seems like every time this thread (or one of the old ones) is active before a big race somebody hits something nice. Great to see.

I got so busy last week, I didn't even get a chance to watch the race until this morning, unfortunately. Oh well, hopefully next time. And thanks @Sharkey as always for getting the ball rolling.

Cheers T. Blunt was the one with the secret ingredient for the race, so we might want to ride his hot hand into the Preakness I'm thinking. It was really cool to see these guys find the winner, though.

If anybody would like to give back some of their winnings and fart around with some cheaper races that are running today, I did these ones up last night. Just the total listed, though, so not to confuse.

Haha nah I didn't do anything special I just took some stuff that you taught me and added it together w/ a lil +/- system for each then averaged them out, basically and took the numbers from there. My other two horses didn't seem to even finish close to the front so maybe I just lucked into it. Either way I'll take it.

Whatever you did, Blunt, it worked. Even if you did have a little luck. But you kind of need to have a little luck in the Derby. Or at least avoid the bad luck that many of these horses encounter. Such a chaotic race.

Nice job finding the winner regardless.

Pimlico - May 9, 2021

(get a preview of the Preakness track)

It's usually not smart to play every race. The value simply may not be there.

So, these plays are where there is a non-maiden race, and I project the favorite to be beaten.

RACE 1 - pass (favorite)
RACE 2 - pass (favorite)
RACE 3 - pass (maiden)
RACE 4 - #3 (beating four favorites! 6-1 odds)
RACE 5 - #8 (speed, class, 15-1 odds)
RACE 6 - pass
RACE 7 - #4 (beating five favorites! 5-1 odds)
RACE 8 - pass

Wet conditions today will play into the outcomes, for sure.

Looking like Baffert might've given my boy a lil "boost" to beat the big dogs out there. Idk what it means picograms and shit, but I'm reminded of Pryor getting the mixed bottled from Panama type of thing. Uh oh.

Horse racing has been corrupt for a VERY LONG TIME. It's one of those things like baseball--they ALL cheat, but if you go too far (doctored bats and balls, using tech in sign stealing, etc.) then the others call you out. All of these top trainers do shit, it's just that some are more aggressive than others.

Good luck today, BP.

I don't know, Blunt. If you go by what he says, it really could be that Bob is innocent this one time. :D

Lol Bob just said I''m not a conspiracy 'therapist'"

Haha.

Well shit, with the way the whole sequence played out leading up to and during the Derby, it's kinda hard not to believe the fix was in and some were out to get him.:D

I mean, they knew. That's all. They knew. <Moves>

With his "track record" ( ;-/ ) it's very hard to believe him. That's why if it's a frame job, it's a perfect setup.

Is anybody else as disappointed as I am that Baffert released this statement earlier today?

I mean, I was hoping for something more. Perhaps even a repeat of the 1968 Derby when the Derby winner, Dancer's Image, was DQ'd for having drugs in his system and that whole situation that is still shrouded in mystery. Just for the shits and giggles at least. But then again, I might be a terrible person like that. :(

Sorry guys. I'm just having a bit of fun. But it's kinda hard not to with this year's Derby being such a clown show. At least it finally went mainstream, though.

Oh, and the Preakness was drawn today with Medina Spirit is allowed to run. I do think we should let @BluntTrauma21 help us find the winner, though. In fact, he may have had a hand in the Derby frame job too considering he was all secretive about his selection process. ;)
