Was Your Thread Deleted, Moved or Merged? Ask about it here - Vol 4

Hi,

I just posted a totally normal response in a post about Zabit. It got deleted. Now, it's starting to feel like Sherdog is getting extremely Pro-Russian for a while. All the non Russians know the forums are spammed with threads about Russians. If I am on Reddit or other mediums, it's so differenent than Sherdog. I wanted to adress this and hope you do something about it.
It has nothing to do with your opinion, and everything to do with you trading and exchanging insults with another poster.

If you want your posts to stay up then don’t toss around insults like “cringy Russian boy” and infer that the other poster has sex with men.

I had posted a thread in the Heavies about Khabib marrying his relative. Lot of people were posting in the thread. They didn't know about this even though t he interview with Khabibs father took place in 2018.

Here is the links: https://www.sportskeeda.com/mma/khabib-nurmagomedov-s-family-who-wife-ufc-legend-children
https://www.sport-express.ru/martia...-pro-mnogozhenstvo-etoo-i-makgregora-1392680/

They are legit articles and interivews.
Sure the thread had some towel comments in it, but couldn't those comments just be deleted?
Why delete a whole thread? That seems like a MOD that doesn't want people to know about Khabibs fathers interview..

Can we reinstate the thread. please?

My most recent thread, 'Do you censor what you now post online?' was just sent to The Great Beyond. Would you happen to know why, or can you find out please?

I don't understand why a person getting rid of a member's thread or post cannot spend one minute to simply give the thread starter a brief explanation,[without sarcasm or rudeness] after all, it's just common courtesy towards a fellow forum member in the end.
There can be a lot of thought put into some threads, yet at times there seems little or no respect shown from some individuals who have the power to move or delete them.
In the past when alerted that a particular thread of mine has been shoved into The Great Beyond, i've read, 'Reason? That's the way it is,' or something flippant like that.
On the other hand, occasionally a mod. has been nice enough to explain why a thread has been moved.

Surely it isn't too much to expect a moderator to give an explanation for moving a thread, that doesn't contain sarcasm or rudeness.
Forum members put time and effort into making threads and posts, if we didn't the forum would be dead. Why can't SOME moderators put just a little time and effort, and respect, in to giving explanations when getting rid of a person's thread? After all, it's not much to ask, is it?
Thanks.

I'm just seeing this now but wasn't acting Moderator on your thread being moved. Apologies no less for the belated acknowledgement and response; not cool and that's on us.

After looking your discussion over, I presume it was rehoused because it hadn't much business being threaded in WR and in doing so, appeared a clickbait play to net more views from readership and/or responses, which is something we frown on – and not to say the case with your discussion. Your OP topically and in content was fine as well as fleshed out, to note.

In the future, mind that Staff reserve the right to treat misthreaded discussions how they see fit as the onus to thread responsibly falls on its author. Not to excuse overlooking a notification, it's more practical (speedier and simpler) to forgo individual responses for every Staff action when we're sometimes doing so without interval if forum activity is high. You're right though and I agree that every user deserves a heads-up, full stop. This thread's purpose is however for users to receive just that should we at times overlook notification.

I can reach out to acting Moderator about landing your thread in an appropriate sub if you'd like me to. I apologise again on behalf of Staff for the lack of communication. You and your contribution to our Community are appreciated.

Curious as to why the Adesanya trans thread was deleted. And then my subsequent post regarding the matter after that. Neither seemed to be breaking forum rules from what I saw.

Are you joking?

A thread accusing a UFC champion of being a transgendered person with no proof besides wild speculative claims is fighter bashing and libelous.

And your thread about someone else's thread being deleted was deleted because it didn't belong in the heavies. If you were curious about a thread being removed, you can ask here in this Support thread. But to ask on another poster's behalf, that seems silly, no?

Hi, can I ask why my thread discussing that UFC fights are watched for the violent nature of them and that if Izzy wants to stop being boring he needs to bring a more violent nature to his fights, got flagged for flaming/trolling?

Hello. I can not quote posts or make new threads. Only replies. Please help.

Hello. I can not quote posts or make new threads. Only replies. Please help.

There are certain restrictions placed on white belts such as number of posts allowed in a 24 hour period as well as quoting other users. Once you reach yellow belt status (150 posts) those restrictions will be lifted and you will have the ability to start your own threads.

Hello,
Why was my thread deleted?
Also, my original post in this thread was deleted as well.

My created thread was deleted and marked as a trolling post,

Sexual Assualt was deleted. Reason: Troll thread about conor Sexually Assaulting Dustin's wife.

Moderators need to do some research before calling someone a troll and closing their thread.

The truth about what Conor said validated my original thread.

I was the first to create a thread about conor calling jolie a ho in the octagon on live tv.

Some research? You claimed that Conor McGregor committed sexual assault by insulting Dustin Poirier's wife. Accusing a fighter of committing a crime synonymous with rape is why your thread was deleted, and I imagine the moderator's reason for Trolling was because you were attempting to start an argument about Conor McGregor's past sexual assault allegations.

This thread was moved immediately to lightweights when it should not be, on the eve of the card.
It's a valid and important discussion.

https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/womens-bare-knuckle-boxing.4196479/

A cowardly move frankly.
BKFC just sold out 150 years of bareknuckle tradition basically for sex to sell tickets for publicity, and sherdog are too emasculated to even talk about it on the internet out of fear.

Truly pathetic

It isn't the eve of the card, the card took place last night. The pbp thread is still open. Your thread, complaining about women in sports, is still open as well. Its been moved to the Lightweights where you're free to discuss your outrage with the current state of combat sports that happen to include women participants.

Whoops I must have missed it. Oh well.

The point is we all know it will get no views or responses in lightweights and it was doing well in the main forum and there was support for my views, not 'outrage' but not supporting your endrosement of sexualizing of bkfc main events as the primary selling point.
You're entitled to think thats ok but others disagree.
What was the problem with it being in the main forum?

many years ago I discovered a problem. fighters were hyped in their prime. rightly. but every time they started losing, their legacy was questioned. why? because the new young fans had no idea about the previous rankings.

therefore i had the idea to research which fighter had how many top 10 victories (top 10 opponents at the time of the fight) to determine who had the most qualitative victories. Although I used several (really) reputable sources and never violated the usage guidelines, although my threads were very well received and had to be re-created several times because they exceeded all limits, I was blocked and my threads completely deleted without any explanation. some of the thread names: "current fighters with the most top 10 wins" or "Fighters with the most top 10 wins"

many people were asking me about the list:
"your thread got the ban hammer?"
"What happened to the top 10 wins thread?"

some guys like "Hans Gruber" or "CoffeandBeer" did help to improve, example:
Hans Gruber: "Please update when you can because Coleman was definitely ranked at the time. That was the most up to date maxfighting rankings. Look at the guy's records in the list. It was right before the Coleman - Fedor fight.
For example
Wiuff wasn't 29-4 until march 2004
Correira wasn't 13-5 until april 2004
These rankings were from April 2004 (right before Fedor-Coleman)"
07/2014

It's sad. ..

Why?

Just saw this message for some reason, not sure how I missed it. Sadly, your thread, like many from the past, was lost when the Sherdog Forums migrated servers. It's not a personal affront to anyone who made threads, I mean, I lost some great threads of my own from days gone by. It's just a system issue, and unfortunately there's nothing we can or could do about it.

Hi guys, since it's been 20 years since 9/11, I started a
thread to discuss some mysteries still unsolved.
It was moved to the great beyond.

I think it wasn't that much of an extreme thread with conspiracies etc.
Just to exchange some opinions.
I'm not bothered by it, but would like to know what the issue is,
so I can prevent it next time.

I don't think there's any particular issue with the thread itself, and the topic is still open for discussion, however the War Room does have stricter thread starting guidelines compared to the other sub forums, so it's likely due to the OP, and even if the thread wasn't intended to be a CT topic it did turn into one relatively early, unfortunately with 9/11 threads this does tend to happen often.

Thanks for answering my question.
Most CT's are pretty dumb. But 911 has caused so many unanswered questions, that I think some CT aren't that far out there.
But I know the stance of SD on this subject now.
I will not start any more threads on the matter that could speculate on
some of those unanswered questions.

Since when were you not allowed to post a meme in a war room thread? Audio / visual pieces with humor can encapsulate sentiment alot better than words sometimes and their not allowed?? When did this happen? Does that include any picture? If not, why not? If it’s a copyright thing then fair enough I guess, but any other reason would be dumb.
