UFC Fight Night: The Korean Zombie vs Ige

I place a lot of significance in weight class changes and especially in a debut moving up, it's my biggest red flag. Does it not concern you that Glenn is not only debuting in a higher weight class but also coming off a 3 year layoff? At +115 the price isn't very enticing and he is hardly an underdog.
not at the lighter weighs and his 6 ft frame should fit nicely at 155, he is also a southpaw, I like his left hand straight. I feel Silva leaves his chin over exposed, and still does.

also both guys are coming off a long layoff.

Hey legit man you have good write ups u should post ur bets when the offical bets page comes up

he can def sub silva
I wouldn't put too much on it though, he should have been able to sub Roberson too.

Glenn did have a fight at 155 before in his short notice debut against Dunham, got outclassed the whole time. If he can wear Silva's power well then he could win, Gordon was doing good against Joaquim before he got chin checked and everything went off the rails.

Did he? I kind of skimmed through it looking for specific things. Just noticed he kept giving up his back and takedowns in every round. And also constantly clinching when he is better in the standup.

He was noticeably taking over in 3 when Frolov gassed and 4 was a matter of time.
Would propably have to rewatch it but from memory I gave Bruno round 2, 3 and obv round 4
Round 1 was kind of close but Frolov propably edged it having the later part of the round just sitting in Brunos guard.

The fight was pretty sloppy, I guess Bruno had more heart and pushed trough while Frolov folded.

Glenn is a neutralizer. He'll do well against guys that try to bullrush him or take his head off with poor energy expenditure. If you fight somewhat methodical and manage your energy, he's a guy you can probably beat in most areas of MMA.

you got to factor the new training camp and his xp , so many fights, a good chin, not a solid pick but a coin flip for plus money.

Dan Ige is looking good on his SM. I think i will put some sparkle on the ITD line on that one.
I will be on Turman agaisnt Silva. I might put another ITD for the co main event as well the co main event might end in round 1.

Ive seen Semelsberger's both ufc fights and he had easy time in both. Williams similar stuff in his two wins but he looked better than I expected vs Perreia. I see the value on Matthew though.

Penny for your thoughts @Sadistics?

I watched a couple fights then cut tape short. Khaos isn't a guy I'm looking to back, especially as a moderate fav, but I want feints from his opponent if I'm fading him. Semi doesn't really feint at all. I think Semi can hit TDs but his control doesn't look great and seems to tire him out, he looked noticeably more fatigued after Minus was able to get up. I also can't rely on him to take the path of least resistance after boxing with Minus for most of the fight, though I understand taking that opportunity to put on a show.

I still have questions around Semi, his durability being one. Can see him get TKOed here but he looks gassed in the final minute of the fight: https://embedr.flickr.com/photos/51028267881

At around +130 he's the side imo being the more consistent minute winner while Khaos relies on KOs or big moments. Might take a little stab on Semi DEC +320 but otherwise pass. Hoping this plays out a bit to learn more about both guys.

I like the out out and busyness of Semi and that he's got more options with his wrestling and grappling but if he tries to push that pace and keeps on exchanging he's going to give Khaos a lot of opportunities to counter him and I don't know how well Semi takes getting blasted by a fresh Khaos in the first round/round and a half

Got Khaos at 1.75 early and I've been back and fourth but I'm letting it ride

Silva is also coming off a 2 year lay off so they're both at a simular disadvantage there

Yeah I see the same things however I wouldnt be surprised to see Khaos winning the decision if Semi doesnt stay active enough and just looks to avoid the power shot all night. I probably would have them at even odds so yeah slight value currently on Matt.

Anyone want to share their thoughts on picking Ige over Zombie? Zombie's moved towards dog status, and I think I like him as the dog here. I need to watch him vs Ortega tonight before I make any final decision.

I think Ige is good, just... beatable. Kattar pieced him up pretty easily, Barboza should have beaten him. I think his attacks are somewhat predictable. He wasn't dominating the aggression vs Kattar or Barboza. Barboza dropped him with a big right in the 1st round, might have stunned him a second time. I think Zombie hits harder and could have finished there if that was him.

I don't think his takedowns are anything special at the high end of the division.

He's a tough, durable fighter.

Zombie by decision is interesting. So frustrating that he has such limited amount of cage time since 2013

@PuertoRican I see you're big on Ige over on the official bets thread. Care to expand? Would be glad to have your opinion

Zombie is + money vs Dan Ige?

Ya'll must've forgot...

Ige has never impressed me. He definitely lost to Barboza, and that win over Bektic wasn't very convincing, may have been a draw and could have easily seen him get the L there.

There's levels to this. He moved up and got handled by Kattar.

Dude only has a puncher's chance, we've seen Zombie out cold before.

Wtf happened to bestfightodds, where is bookmaker and betonline?
