I find it ironic how some males demean other males for losing their hair. We’re all on this sinking ship together, lads. We’re all losing it one way or another.

Because we're males and not fat women. Body positivity applies to all other categories.

I've been slowly losing ground and it bothers me at 39. But it's diffuse thinning, at least I got that. I'm single but having the attention of women 15 years my junior does not hurt. I look much younger.

The buzzed cut I have even suits me, and a friend wondered aloud why did I even bother going that short (he's a good one and significantly taller than me; if he couldn't tell my hair is slowly going away, I'm still good I guess ).

Fret not, however. KY19382 will soon be upon us!

For some, it triggers BDD. Call them weak, but when 10% of women their age (pre-25) are OK-ish with a bald partner (and women tend to answer even anonymous polls in a way that doesn't make them look "superficial")...it hits them where it hurts. You know, that alone makes me feel for them.

Some get hit by it at 17. Imagine that.

My hair been getting thin lately but I have strong genetics, so my hairline strong as fuck but I realize if I keep eating bad food that shit won't matter, I might end up getting one in a few years. Honestly, people don't realize, if you 'feel' happy about your looks, you can be very productive.

I'd say it is 99% genetics. And ypu can't do anything about it. If you figured out a method of preventing balding, you'd be the richest man in tge world.

Yeah. Environment plays a role, too. My sister was going throw a rough patch for a few years and started balding in her crown. We thought it was genetic, but after her diet improved and she was less stressed, her hair grew back over the next year or so.

I would think stressing about hair loss would make it worse.lol The prolonged stress hormone does horrible things to the body.

Random thought… what’s the female equivalent to a man losing his hair? Meaning an uncontrollable result of aging that causes depression in females when the onset begins?
