I went on a concert splurge last night.

Bought tickets for August burns red, killswitch engage, jinjer and Lacuna Coil. Lacuna coil is the one I'm most pumped for since I knew them since I was 10, and some how at 48, Cristina's voice is better than ever and they gotten alot heavier past couple albums.

lolz, this is like the first time i checked this subforum and click on a metal thread and see hc and grind...

<mma4>

wasn't expecting that...

The Roadrunner United All-Stars sessions disc was pretty damn good. I liked the idea of having the four team captains Rob Flynn (machine head) Dino Cazeres (fear factory) Joey Jordison (slipknot) and Matt Heafy (trivium) and then a bunch of roadrunner united artists all getting in on the songs. They pretty much all turned out killer. imho I love going back and listening to this and the documentary is super cool as well.

For some reason it is only allowing me to post the first song. Go to YT and check it out for the full track listing.

Nuclear Blast did something similiar for their anniversary, cept it was one disc was called out of the dark and the other was into the light or something.
One focused more on their extreme stuff and the other more on their power metal/melodic stuff.
One album was co-written by i think Peter Wiches and the other by someone else.
Has an awesome (baiscally soilwork song) on it

I'm a huge Soilwork and Wichers fan but that album pales in comparison to the Roadrunner allstar sessions. Have you heard it by chance? if not it's great especially when you see all the people that played on the songs.

Wichers also wrote all the music for Warrel Dane's (Nevermore) solo album.

Yeah I've heard it and such, im not the biggest road runner fan, and most of what was played on there I havnt ever really listened too again. I feel most of these all star album things fall flat, and theres only a handful from the nuclear blast ones that i go back and listen too as well.

Wasnt a competition post or anything, more of a "hey if you liked that you might enjoy some of this too"
