Is this reasonable? or a slippery slope?

N95 dumbass. 99% of masks being worn in public are cloth or disposable, which are close to completely useless (as Fauci explained on 60 minutes in 2020). Derp!

false lol.

“The researchers reported that fabric face masks “blocked between 62.6% and 87.1% of fine particles, whereas surgical masks protected against an average of 78.2% of fine particles. N95 masks blocked 99.6% of fine particles.” But they said that survey respondents tended to “underestimate the effectiveness of masks, especially fabric masks.” The results indicated that “fabric masks may be a useful tool in the battle against the covid-19 pandemic and that increasing public awareness of the effectiveness of fabric masks may help in this endeavour,” the authors concluded.”

“Cloth masks not only effectively block most large droplets (i.e., 20-30 microns and larger)9 but they can also block the exhalation of fine droplets and particles (also often referred to as aerosols) smaller than 10 microns ;3,5which increase in number with the volume of speech10-12 and specific types of phonation.13Multi-layer cloth masks can both block up to 50-70% of these fine droplets and particles3,14 and limit the forward spread of those that are not captured.5,6,15,16 Upwards of 80% blockage has been achieved in human experiments that have measured blocking of all respiratory droplets”

Now guess what happens if both parties are wearing them? You are nearing doubling that filtration efficiency rate and reaching N95 protection levels if not higher.

you keeping up or is this math too advanced for you?

Some interesting n95 data sourced https://docilebritain.com/2021/07/16/do-face-masks-actually-help-let-us-check-the-studies/ here

from what I gathered skimming some of the studies cited in this article, the conclusions are masks make it harder to exercise and can be uncomfortable.

N95s are the safest option for sure. I think they are ideal in a medical setting.

Imo KF94s are best for normal people. 94+% filtration of particles under 0.4 micron, cheap and comfortable and South Korea strongly enforces the standard (just don't buy fakes). A engineer on Youtube (Aaron Collins) has tested them with aerosol equipment and they perform great, there are no fitting issues. I'm finally starting to see some non-Asians wearing them; the NPCs are evolving! Lots of staff wearing them in the Olympics as well.

The head of it all who has been studying this for over 20 years was wrong. Lol

Even if masks are back fully, good luck trying to force the population to spend 10 x the amount on N95 as they currently spend on the shitty masks. Good luck telling poor, impoverished POC (who are already quite anti-vax and represent the most under-vaxxed communities) that they need to start parting ways with $10 for a single use mask. Hahahahaha.

New variant that is worse than the Delta variant. We will need boosters for sure if its resistance

Its been found to exist in Texas so far

Unlikely. What is certain however, is your irrational assumptions on non peer-reviewed studies as if theyre undeniable fact.

You couldn't even count how many studies were in my post and now you expect me to believe you actually read them?

What data in those studies about particles being filtered do you find false?

More variants is going to be the excuse to keep this going. Next year there will be a new variant with another booster shot required.

Already saw an article about "Delta+"

When the masses wake up and see how royally they have been fucked it will be too late.

Does anyone else find it hilarious that the same stats people used for not being worried about Covid like the 99% percent survival rate, are being used by the pro vaccine people to say that when vaccinated you have a 99% percent rate of surviving covid if vaccinated. The only difference is that last .6 or.8 number.

I also hear that the people dying from vaccines also say that people who are having complications from the vaccine have co morbidity factors including when mentioning long covid.

Now I will be getting vaccinated because I have to for resumption of normal life, but I am definitely not thinking it will have any effect on my morbidity factor re:covid. If I die from it with a vaccine, I genuinely believe I would have without it.
