This isn't my thread but I wanted to reply in it tonight and it seems crazy it was not only wastelanded but closes for replies as well

I read the replies. This seems like a fun thread where a fighter who isn't even in the UFC yet said something controversial and people were rightfully criticizing him for it. Why was this thread censored?

This is the same forum that allows far right people to rant about Islamic terrorists and support the bombing of innocent civilians overseas in the war room. Anyone care to explain the logic?

From my perspective, thread was not fun. It became problematic quickly. Threads of this nature should probably be created in the War Room where more acerbic, contentious and divisive topics can be discussed.

What was problematic about it? Why was it closed?

If you really think it was a war room thread why wasn't it moved to the war room? Instead it was wastelanded and closed.

I hope this won't turn into a shit show and maybe not every other post will be something provocative or contentious. It is a touchy subject on the forum and gets a lot of attention.

Everything is touchy. Society is the most politically divisive it ever has been. Why are these topics consistently getting censored and deleted? If Dana F White is talking about it it's thread worthy but we aren't even allowed to do so here. I gotta say I'm getting pretty sick of it to the point I'm considering leaving here and joining Twitter, something I never imagined doing 5 years ago. Heck, maybe my tweets would show up on a UFC broadcast instead of getting deleted.

What is it about sherdog that causes this amount of censorship? Who is making these decisions? Twitter allows these type of posts and they are taking the most heat right now regarding censorship

It doesn't in the War Room. There are appropriate subs for certain things. I cannot speak for Twitter. I cannot wholly speak for the Dawg either. Just trying to hear you out and be fair.

Anyone know why my Chuck Zito thread got merged with the other 268 presser thread?

That one was just slapped together with a video clip and mine took almost an hour to put together and was more of an homage to a famous NY person and friend of the UFC.

Seemed like it was getting attention and comments and then tossed in as a comment in the other thread.

Ive been on these forums forever but rarely make threads and am not trying to farm likes or something, feels unfair and unnecessary after there’s some threads that are allowed to go on forever in the heavies that aren’t relevant to the coming PPV etc…anyways…
 
I posted a video I uploaded to YouTube reacting to the Colby fight, but it was deleted and the reason given was that I need permission.

May I please from time to time post my videos reacting to and talking about fights?

Because the thread content seemed more interested in debating Covid than Diego being in the hospital. We have a war room where that kind of discussion is encouraged.

I think for every meaningful post, it looks like 2 or 3 came in that thread had to be deleted because they weren’t suitable for the ufc discussion.
