Interesting question going on, on Twitter...is Randy Orton a "top 20" ever guy given his accomplishments, I think that he is definitely top 25 at worst. (Look, I don't know shit about NJPW, or anything strictly international federation, so spare me obscure references) He has the look, title reigns/accomplishments, an iconic finisher, and pose that fans recognize...he's definately an all-time great.

The RKO out of nowhere was fun, and he's solide but really nothing that stood out and I thought he should not have been pushed so hard so early.

I like Randy Orton, Ive talked several times about how much he reminds me of old school heels which is the highest compliment I can possibly give someone
But is Randy Orton on the same list as Ric Flair, Randy Savage, Andre The Giant, Bruno Sammartino, Verne Gagne, Steve Austin, Nick Bockwinkel, etc?

I kinda think being in Evolution did more harm than good for him.

Probably just outside of… problem with Orton is he doesn’t have a lot of memorable matches/feuds/promos for as long as he’s been on top. He’s an anomaly in that way, usually when you are a main eventer as consistently as he is you are bound to have several of those moments (and I know he has some, but the ratio to time on top is low compared to everyone else that would be top 20).

much like Orton himself, he’s very good at everything but not great at anything. A 9/10 on all attributes in a videogame.

I'd say no. Only really cared about him during Evolution and Legacy. His failed face turn in 04 really brings him down IMO. He just phones it in nowadays which I really don't blame him, being around for 20 years

I think he’s been better since teaming with riddle and I wouldn’t say he’s been phoning it In

Although all his accomplishments I dont think he would be remembered as fondly as previous era stars but that might just me. Past Cena there hasn't been many huge names. That will stand the test of time.

Definitely not in the same tier as the likes of austin, flair, undertaker, etc.

he is more like on a tier with koko b ware, kamala and hacksaw jim duggan

kamala was a draw.

Randy's done extremely well for himself, but injecting him in the top 20 of ALL TIME? There's context to each era, sure but I don't know if you could argue him into the top 20 before saying 20 names who need to come rightly before him even if you were being extremely biased. That said, I am a fan.

He needs to shave off his porn Stacey if he wants to be ranked.

Never really understood how you rank Wrestlers? I mean if you rank by accomplishments then you are essentially just ranking the biggest company man right? Cena, Reigns etc. But actual skill in the ring then you exclude a lot of the bigger guys who cant possibly move around like others? Never really got that in wrestling.

For me it just comes down to favourites, and Orton certainly never been my favourite. Back when i watched wrestling i always found him boring.
