Why make Islam sit and wait?

I don't disagree there about the ones who are loudest get what they want. But it's the way they go about it. He and his team act like they're being snubbed fights ago and deserve it more than anyone. I can tell the difference between entitled and campaigning.

IMHO Dariush or DP would be best IMHO. But I am not picky. Chandler or Gaethje would work as well.

Last I heard, Dariush said he'd be down in August/September (do you have news for October? Maybe I missed it).
DP (if he is not fighting Colby, which I think makes no sense if he is staying at LW).

hell, even RDA, if he wins.
IMHO that would set the top contender for Charles.(especially since they were supposed to fight back in 2020 and then there's what happened back in March)...

I am very confident Charles will win. For betting? I don't gamble, I've been watching MMA for two decades and I've never placed one bet.

I'd be willing to bet my house all 3 would decline if offered the Islam fight. Poirier isn't really interested in a title from what i can tell, he wants money fights. Chandler wants either a title or a money fight, but he wants the easiest path to a title, I'm fairly positive he won't fight Islam in an eliminator because that would hurt his plan B (money fight). I highly doubt Gaethje wants anything to do with another grappler. He'll dodge that, he'll probably look for a fan friendly fight that suits his style with a name that could give him bigger $ than Islam.

So that means you think Charles will win from the bottom? Not likely, not even BJJ world champions want to be on bottom in MMA if someone is half decent on top and Islam has a world class top game. Charles best path to victory is getting a knock down on the feet and try to quickly finish Islam or get a sub from a transition which are relatively low odds with the former being his best bet, but he’ll then have to close the distance which will put him in grappling range for Islam to end up on top. This is what the oddsmakers probably see and hence why Islam will be the heavy favorite.
