Izzy doesn't have the finishing ability that Anderson did.
Prime for prime (in MMA) Silva beats him, due to actually being able to commit to finishing the fight past the first round.
Izzy is great, but to happy to settle from round 2 onwards.

Silva isn't pretending he is dropped from thigh strikes in the 5th, he is throwing jumping knees and going for the finish or hitting late triangles in fights he is losing.

It's MMA. It's scored of attempts and ability to finish the fight. You automatically win if you finish the fight. It's not dunking, it's winning the match by a definitive margin.
Izzy lost when he went up to 205, Silva in his prime beat a guy 1 fight removed from the title. He also fought the 205 champion at the time (Cormier) and injured him with a body kick at UFC 200 again 3 years after he lost the belt.
Silva's streak shits all over Izzy's at 185 and we even have a head to head fight in Izzy's prime vs Silva at the end of his career to compare.
Silva took a round off Izzy when he was 1-4 and on a massive decline 6 years after losing his title.

Izzy is good, but he is nowhere near Silva at 185 in MMA. He is barely half way there. 4 defences vs 10 and 16 straight wins for Silva, Izzy isn't close in MMA.

Mma is about seeing which art works best, a decision always leaves a muddy technicality of time or judging perception. You cant assume that Izzy's striking would knock everybody out, hes not doing it. He promises finishes so you know he understands the value of showing the height of your art, rather than giving everyone a taste and leaving stones unturned. Anderson would get upset when opponents wouldnt fight, Izzy dances and brushes dirt off his shoulders. Love his personality and will always tune into his fights for the chance he brings it. But all im saying is the talk on Izzys striking in the ufc (in comparison to Andersons) is all theory. You dont know for sure Izzys jabs affected Vettori , Anderson proved his jab by KTFO of Okami with it.

Also, why are you putting literally any stake in his kickboxing career? Being a mediocre kick-boxer doesn’t mean you’re a better striker. Boohoo he fought in kickboxing, that doesn’t really mean anything. That’s like discrediting GSP’s wrestling because he never was a college wrestler. Anderson is very clearly on a much higher level and anybody who knows MMA knows that. I think prime Anderson would have kicked his ass in a kickboxing match, a Muay Thai match, a boxing match, an mma fight and a street fight too.

The fighters don't get paid more for finishes. Finishes don't add an extra win to your record. The arguable GOAT has almost no finishes. The only reason finishes matter is so idiots like you can get horny off of someone getting knocked out.
