UFC Fight Night: Vera vs. Cruz

Murzakanov looked pretty horrible vs Nchuckwi, and he was losing up until he landed the knee. He seems like a guy that is very dangerous in the beginning (a lot of round 1 stoppages) and has power but overall I think it is a nice spot to go for the underdog in Clark here.

I'm slamming Vera at -188. I can't see 37 year old Dom going 5 rounds vs someone who's proven to thrive with 2 extra rounds. I can see Dom skating around and getting the first 2 rounds but Chito will connect eventually and connect hard. Font who's a cardio monster and hits pretty hard couldn't phase Chito, I don't think Dom has the cardio to go 5 like he used to, plus he hits light and Chito will be able to walk through everything with ease. Prime Dom is a different story, but if Pedro can catch Dom (thought Dom looked amazing there) Chito can catch him.

Also parlaying Vera with Silva. Should be able to ko GM3 as long as he doesn't get caught in a dumb sub. Playing both together gives + odds.

Landwehr is a wild guy in and out of cage but he is super solid in everything and absoluely outclassed Klein in rds 2 and 3. If you take Onama take him by ko.
I like Nate and want him to win so Id like to stay away from betting this but if I wasnt biased Id probably still take him here.

No to mention Onama hasnt really been fighting top competition and while the finishes were nice the performances were not too clean either.

His performance vs. Klein was impressive and I live bet him after noticing how gassed Klein was. Seems like Klein was killing himself to make 145 and it gave his 1 rd of cardio.

Onama was in a brutal fight with Jones. He won't wilt under the lights in a high paced fight. I think he stops Nate.

Not very often but Bruno has 5 losses by sub and Meer as 26 wins by submission. Bruno clearly has issues on the ground. I still think he KO's Meer. No one thought Meer would beat Muradov but he did.
Bruno defended Turman who attacked subs pretty well. most of those subs were before 2016, he’s done a lot of grappling since then and seems to have patched up those holes in his game. those 19 kos and his performance with Alex is enough to consider him a safe fighter.

I like Youssef Zalal if he makes weight. On a 3 fight skid but lost to pretty good fighters. Also pretty young.
Da'mon lost to Kris Moutinho(red flag).
Decision prop also makes sense.

I like Devin clark for live betting. If he doesn't get Koed in the first, he can take over. Kind of gassed last fight.
Azamat does have a win over Andre Muniz but it was an early KO.
Anyone have any footage where he has to defend takedowns?

I kind of like Nate Landwehr as an underdog but hoping his odds get better.
Onama struggled in the first round against a late notice bantamweigt in his last fight.
Nate might catch a knee though early like his 2 ufc losses.

It's a high possibility. Nate has wars and mostly wins them but sometimes he gets knocked out fast. I think it's again one of those two tales.

Anyone wanting to bet Zalal I'd suggest taping Blakshear, the dude is a good grappler.

I'm going full degen mode this week and taking 10% of every bet I make in every other sport and parlaying it with Marlon Vera's money line.

Call me crazy but this might be the fight that retires Dom. He could maybe outpoint Vera in a 3 round fight but I think by late 2nd round/early 3rd Dom will get dragged into a slobber knocker and eventually get stopped.

different style matchup tho. Clark always beats guys he can out wrestle with his superior college wrestling background, with cage stalls and takedowns. his best win against menifield was 90% cage stalling. Murzakanov has delved into freestyle wrestling and sambo, and has added benefit of heavy hands. Nchuckwi is a better striker than clark. I think if Nchuckwi fought Clark as an underdog i'd favor him. We have to see a fight in Murza's past where he spent a majority on his back to be a considered a red flag for me.

90% of murzakanovs fights are 1st round finishes. He has hardly been tested. That is one of the reasons i am going for Clark here

It wouldn't be all that surprising if Murzakanov slept Clark early but his cardio should definitely be a concern in this fight and going forward. He was already slowing down before the end of round 1 and he looked completely gassed by the end of round 2 against Ncuckwi. That fight wasn't very high paced and he also had no grappling success against Nchuckwi who isn't exactly known for having a good gas tank or being a good grappler himself.

I just urge to proceed with caution. if he gets overwhelmed like that by Knight, Murza ain't going to let him off the hook so easy.

he still had dangerous power even with that shotty gas tank. Clark isn't really a cardio machine himself. a lot of his wins involve slow pace cage stalling.

Yea Im not trying to make Clark out to be a world beater he definitely has his own flaws. Im just not particularly high on Murzakanov as a prospect. Combination of bad cardio/output and being undersized for the division isn't promising for his future.
