On a scale of 1-10, how do you rate this vicious blow? It was a clean connection and Draymond has incredible reach. One of the best punches I've seen from an NBA player. Jake Paul wants Green in the ring.

I give it an 8, but it was a clear sucker punch and there's certainly no honor in it. 8 is based on technique and accuracy.

Honestly... I expected much worse -- that was a pretty clean shot. i think I'd agree with an 8 haha Definitely doesn't punch like a basketball player, that's for sure.

How is it a sucker punch, when the man literally got in dudes face, then was physically pushed first, and instantly responded with a punch?

Do you even know what a sucker punch is?

He punches a teammate that was not even looking at him. Nobody is expecting a fistfight at work.

Well IMO, Green walks up on him bowed up, but with his hands down, then generic NBA bench warmer initiated aggressive bodily contact when he pushed Green, that’s instant grounds for fista-a-cuffs, so I wouldn’t consider that a sucker punch or as us old fuckers would say back in the day “he got snuck”.

I’m thinking for a un-trained person I’d give him a 8.0 out of 10, it was a nice right overhand, Green hits him flush and puts him on his ass. Being that the target didn’t get flatlined after being caught flush I’m docking 2 points for lack of effort. Just saying, If you’re gonna hit the dude, put your entire being into it and send him for a short visit to the neatherealm...

It was Masvidal's kind of sucker punch level.
But only two pieces... and no soda!

His technique was sh*t but his accuracy was great.

Wasn’t bad considering he’s a NBA player (some of the biggest pu$$ies of all professional athletes)

They are teammates.
On a professional NBA team.
One is a star on the team and the other is a star in the making on that team.
Too many millions for you to assume they should behave like low level gang crew. And IMHO there will be a hefty penalty because of it.

So I disagree that this was not sucker-punch.
No matter how much they are allowed to push each other (or even hit during the game), coming to blows with a teammate is just a no-no.

...... it is you who does not know what a sucker punch is lmao

And yet, more people agree with me, while only the person who thinks conor is the hardest puncher at 170, with literally 0 Punch ko's at 170, AND doesn't know what a sucker punch is. If someone is aggressive, already in your face, AND you push them, expect a punch in the face.

I'm not condoning it, but that is absolutely NOT a sucker punch.

A sucker punch (American English), also known as a dog shot, coward punch, king hit or one-punch attack (Australian and New Zealand English) or cold-cock (American English), is a punch made without warning or while the recipient is distracted, allowing no time for preparation or defense on the part of the recipient.

It wasn't without warning, due to face to face personal space confrontation, and a physical push, and the recipient is looking dead in drays face. Just because he was "unprepared " was absolutely the punch recipient's fault.

Ain't a sucker punch when dude shoved Green first. If someone is in your face, obviously worked up, and you put your hands on them, better be looking for that swing.

Lol. Yeah, he should have been prepared for his teammate to punch him in the face…..derp…..

That's just semantics, just because they're not allowed to, doesn't mean it can't happen, see my above statement for the definition of sucker punch.

Just because it absolutely wasn't a sucker punch, does it mean I condone jt.

I never hinted you do.
But I disagree with you.
These guys know better than to throw punches.
They are taunted in every game and they are trained not to enter into fist fights.
The fact he did, and against a teammate is unexpected despite any disagreements they may have.

And the fact this is unexpected turns this 100% a sucker punch.

all the clowns in here who are calling that a sucker punch probably could use one.

A bunch of other adjectives might fit - cheap? Unnecessary? etc Sure but once you are engaged and especially once you yourself engage it's on and if you don't take defensive action at the minimum you failed and though you may not deserve the incoming violence you should expect it and act accordingly.
Looking off into the distance in a relaxed stance does not seem to be a great tactic unless you are in a matrix movie or something.
