Mexican gloves various brands

So I bought 2 pairs of gloves from boxeo tm. And I really don’t like them at all. Just so stiff and hard. Turns out I’m more of a broken in Japanese type of glove guy..
Spent so much money on these gloves too. I have no idea what to do with them

I might buy a pair off you if you want to bother with shipping and all that (assuming you're in the US, I thought you were). If you send me details of what you have I'll let you know.

I just bring from WBC convention a pair of Cleto Reyes in WBC colors. My first impression is very good. Overall beautifully made gloves. I've never seen so smooth feel letter like the gold on this gloves.
There are few surprises for me too. First they are lighter than 14 OZ gloves should be. Something unusual for Mexican brands. Second thing on one thumb WBC logo has some bubbles underneath and with the time that will peel off for sure.

But I bought them crazy cheap. Only 140 USD at the convention.

Damn that's not good how much did you break it in. Where either of these the polyurethane padding ones?
I wore it like twice so not broken in at all. I liked my flys and winnings immediately though because they have that broken in feel
Idk about the padding, probably not since it was just normal

Not ready to give a review or anything as these just landed on my doorstep, but WOW, these are the nicest gloves I've owned by a long shot. Exceptional quality. The liner is so smooth and soft, not like other Mexican gloves, and I'm not swimming in the hand compartment. These do feel broken in right away compared to other gloves I've had. Can't find a flaw. Only minor complaint is that I didn't really want the label on the cuff but not a big deal.

Those are really nice man, by any chance do you own a pair of the polyurethane model for comparison?

how stiff is the padding?

I personally don’t like them. But maybe I’m just not a Mexican glove fan. Very stiff, very not broken in feel
Anything with Latex takes awhile to break in brother. His original all polyurethane foam gloves felt broken in from the beginning. That said, they broke down faster. I expect those to be awesome once broken in and for them to last you for years to come. I don't have that model, but I have broken in several New Sporting which have a similar foam break down (polyurethane sandwiched between two different latex layers).

Damn I might have to give them a second chance then

Posted in the gear thread, but most pairs are Mexican, so I thought it belonged here too.

Thanks man, I'm actually gifting them to my brother for Christmas. I'm willing to let go of a few pairs. Hit me up by PM if you're interested.

Happy new Year y´all!

Those are my recent purchases!
I´m usually hunting for pre-used mexican Gloves on eBay since buying new ones, is kinda expensive over here in Germany!

CAMPEON 14oz, Velcro:
Bought them from PRO AM Boxing on a very good deal!
I was just unlucky that our incompetent customs cut the striking surface while checking the package.
Scared that the cut wont survive heavy use of the glove, I´ve only used it like 2-3 times very lightly in training so far.
Quality is alright, not great.
Craftmanship is alright, not great.
But... when I started looking into mexican gloves, this was exactly what i was looking for.
A rough and tough workhorse glove, that could been used for years and years to come.
Ironically I´m not using them at all because of german customs :D

BRYANT BOXING Imperial 14oz, Lace-Ups:
Got these on eBay for relatively cheap.
I used them only twice so far, but i absolutely love them!
They feel much superior to the campeons in terms of craftmanship and quality!
They feel like they were made for my hands lol
I love the color way, I love the company, I love Mr. Bryant who is a really good dude!

CLETO REYES 16oz, Lace-Ups:
Got these on eBay as well for suuuuper cheap!
Seller claimed these were used by a pro, who taped off the logo, because of sposorship issues.
Thats why the logo looks that shitty.
I didnt care and shot my shot!
the Padding is still intact and the gloves feel super nice in terms of quality!
The leather is top notch imo.
These gloves are gonna be what the Campeon were supposed to be -> my main workhorse training glove.
Since they already look "shitty" I dont have a problem absolutely wrecking them in training, which is what I wanted.
Sometimes i just cant help myself, but spare gloves that look "too beautiful" lol
I´ve got tiny hands, so these gloves feel huge for me.
Being relatively heavy with tiny hands is a horrible combination when buying boxing gloves.
I´m just using longer handwraps with knuckle guards when using the cletos and its alright.

Thats it... next up: Salvador Training Gloves!
I just need to convince my wife that I really really need yet another pair of boxing gloves lol
