I can tell you upfront that I'm probably going to tag A LOT of people and just try to be as open and honest as I can be within reason. I'll also probably keep editing this post as I get reminded of different posters and whatnot...
Best Contributor: It's really hard for me to narrow this down to one. I can tell you some ones who stick out:
@Islam Imamate: Seems like a well-balanced, intelligent, confident person. We often have parallel thinking even if we're coming from different places to arrive there. Or we'll respectfully disagree on something. I like him a lot. I liked him as a poster before he became a mod. I liked him as a poster and a mod after he became a mod. I still like him as a fellow mod and poster. I could go on, but I think that should suffice for now.
@Deorum: I've always been able to relate to him despite our many differences. He's become more aligned with the right over the years while I've become more aligned with the left. But that doesn't really matter. He's a cool guy and I like him even if we sometimes disagree. I respect his intelligence and his breadth of knowledge. Really interesting person across the board.
@Bald1: I've gotten to know him on board for quite some time by now. It's true that we don't agree as often as we used to. It is what it is. People are constantly changing and evolving. I think he's a person who has principle and integrity. I respect that immensely. I think we'll always be cool with each other no matter what. Or at least I hope so. I think we will ultimately.
@Ares Black: I know he won't always be liked by everyone here. That's okay. You'll probably appreciate him more if you're aligned with the left like I am. I've gotten to know him more lately and I appreciate where he's coming from. I wish him well.
@Lubaolong: This is a person who has a great deal of expertise and accomplishment. I aspire to be more like him moving forward. I know that many people here won't like him, but I happen to like him a lot.
@panamaican: One of the more intelligent posters I've encountered here. I seem to have a lot of things in common with him. I had a stepmother and step-family growing up that was rather similar to his. I think he does a great job as a poster and moderator here.
@Strychnine: He's a really solid guy. He has strong character and morals. He's a true Christian, for lack of a better term, in my estimation. His background is incredibly similar to my mother's and to my mother's side of the family. I don't know what else to write. But he's a real one. I think that says it all.
@brackis1: He rubs some people the wrong way, but I think he's a successful guy who I usually get along with.
@So Fresh: I think he's misunderstood by a lot of people here. If you understand where he's coming from you can appreciate him more, IMHO. A LOT of people make assumptions and think he's something that he is not. It's pretty obvious to me, but I guess some people aren't in on the joke, so to speak.
@44nutman: Another guy A LOT of people here are going to hate. But I like him. We have some things in common. Mainly the Florida connection and how we're aligned. Maybe some socioeconomic factors. A lot of his posts are funny AF and true IMO.
@GearSolidMetal: We don't agree politically, but I like him as a person. He knows a lot about dieting and exercising, which is something I share an interest in. He's into video games and some other shared interests. He's a legend in P&M. I've seen his personal growth over the years and I appreciate it. I'm glad that good people can disagree and still get along with one another.
@Sano: He's really smart and we agree on a lot of issues. I've always liked him as a poster. I'm not at my most loquacious moment right now. Just trying to read the thread mainly. But I felt remiss in not including him among the best.
@terrapin: A really interesting person and poster. Not sure if I've ever encountered someone like him before. I'm glad that I've been able to interact with him over the years. I wish nothing but the best for him and his family for the rest of this year and then the new year and moving forward... God bless!
@idrankyourbeer: This guy is funny as hell. Some of y'all might like him, some might not. I'm in the former category for sure.
@HOLA: You probably won't like him if you're not on the left. Fair enough. To me, we agree on most things, he's intelligent, he's well informed, he's interesting. YMMV.
@Gutter Chris: Our views aren't as aligned as they once were. But whatever. He's a cool guy. I like him a lot. I respect him. He's a guy I'd like to have a beer with one day. We probably never will. But I enjoy interacting with him on this board for sure. He's a guy about my age and we have some shared interests and whatnot.
@LangfordBarrow: I like him a lot as a poster and a person. I like the Joe Louis gif he has as an av. He's consistently good in the War Room. We tend to agree on issues which is nice. Not a prerequisite by any means, but it is nice.
Worst Contributor: It would be pretty hard to narrow this down honestly. Not really worth trying IMHO. If you can narrow it down, I might agree. I haven't looked through this thread entirely yet. I've been pretty busy today doing different things but I want to read this thread and take it all in...
Best TS: Shit man, this is a HARD one. I don't know if we have a @MXZT of the War Room. There are some people I could think of I suppose, but not sure if one is head and shoulders above the rest.
Worst TS: Fuck if I know. I don't really care.
Best Mod: This is another HARD one. The mods who I've had the most interaction with lately include @Lowmanproblems (who became a new mod at the same time I did), @Strychnine, @HockeyBjj, @panamaican, @Ruprecht. @Substance Abuse doesn't moderate the War Room for the most part, but I've learned A LOT from him and I like him a lot. @Valhoven is a very experienced mod who's acted as a mentor for many mods here over the years. @Madmick is a guy who I once agreed with a lot and liked a lot and in terms of being a moderator, he's one of the most experienced and has come up with some innovative ideas in terms of modding. @Zebra Cheeks has been a mentor I would say, even if he's not in the War Room as much. @Jackonfire is another mod I've learned a lot from. @Oku and @giovanni_ss are other mods who I like a lot even if they're not really in this sub-forum much.
Worst Mod: Honestly, I don't think we have a mod right now who just sucks ass and isn't pulling his weight and holding the rest of us back. It's a damn good thing that we don't. It'd make our jobs a lot harder if we did. But being a mod here is a good job IMO.
Best thread: I don't even know.
Worst thread: Nothing in particular comes to mind.
Biggest WR melt down: There are SEVERAL I can recall. I don't know if one was worse than the other.
Best Ban: I don't know. I could tell you who I banned or helped get banned. Or who other mods did the same for. Banning is always a last option and we don't take it lightly. We don't like to ban accounts which have contributed and have been here for a long time.
Dirty Rat: I could give you some names I guess, but I try to be discreet. Just try to keep in mind that any post you make here could be reported and that there are potential consequences for any post.
Well anyway, that was fun. There are lots of posters here who I like and I enjoy reading their posts and replying to them, even if I don't necessarily agree or fully agree. There are probably many good posters who I left out unfortunately. My mistake. But I probably know who you are or have interacted with you all at one point or another. Take care.
I'm honored that anyone would even consider me to be in the running.
Thank you.
