I can tell you upfront that I'm probably going to tag A LOT of people and just try to be as open and honest as I can be within reason. I'll also probably keep editing this post as I get reminded of different posters and whatnot...

Best Contributor: It's really hard for me to narrow this down to one. I can tell you some ones who stick out:

@Islam Imamate: Seems like a well-balanced, intelligent, confident person. We often have parallel thinking even if we're coming from different places to arrive there. Or we'll respectfully disagree on something. I like him a lot. I liked him as a poster before he became a mod. I liked him as a poster and a mod after he became a mod. I still like him as a fellow mod and poster. I could go on, but I think that should suffice for now.

@Deorum: I've always been able to relate to him despite our many differences. He's become more aligned with the right over the years while I've become more aligned with the left. But that doesn't really matter. He's a cool guy and I like him even if we sometimes disagree. I respect his intelligence and his breadth of knowledge. Really interesting person across the board.

@Bald1: I've gotten to know him on board for quite some time by now. It's true that we don't agree as often as we used to. It is what it is. People are constantly changing and evolving. I think he's a person who has principle and integrity. I respect that immensely. I think we'll always be cool with each other no matter what. Or at least I hope so. I think we will ultimately.

@Ares Black: I know he won't always be liked by everyone here. That's okay. You'll probably appreciate him more if you're aligned with the left like I am. I've gotten to know him more lately and I appreciate where he's coming from. I wish him well.

@Lubaolong: This is a person who has a great deal of expertise and accomplishment. I aspire to be more like him moving forward. I know that many people here won't like him, but I happen to like him a lot.

@panamaican: One of the more intelligent posters I've encountered here. I seem to have a lot of things in common with him. I had a stepmother and step-family growing up that was rather similar to his. I think he does a great job as a poster and moderator here.

@Strychnine: He's a really solid guy. He has strong character and morals. He's a true Christian, for lack of a better term, in my estimation. His background is incredibly similar to my mother's and to my mother's side of the family. I don't know what else to write. But he's a real one. I think that says it all.

@brackis1: He rubs some people the wrong way, but I think he's a successful guy who I usually get along with.

@So Fresh: I think he's misunderstood by a lot of people here. If you understand where he's coming from you can appreciate him more, IMHO. A LOT of people make assumptions and think he's something that he is not. It's pretty obvious to me, but I guess some people aren't in on the joke, so to speak. :)

@44nutman: Another guy A LOT of people here are going to hate. But I like him. We have some things in common. Mainly the Florida connection and how we're aligned. Maybe some socioeconomic factors. A lot of his posts are funny AF and true IMO.

@GearSolidMetal: We don't agree politically, but I like him as a person. He knows a lot about dieting and exercising, which is something I share an interest in. He's into video games and some other shared interests. He's a legend in P&M. I've seen his personal growth over the years and I appreciate it. I'm glad that good people can disagree and still get along with one another.

@Sano: He's really smart and we agree on a lot of issues. I've always liked him as a poster. I'm not at my most loquacious moment right now. Just trying to read the thread mainly. But I felt remiss in not including him among the best.

@terrapin: A really interesting person and poster. Not sure if I've ever encountered someone like him before. I'm glad that I've been able to interact with him over the years. I wish nothing but the best for him and his family for the rest of this year and then the new year and moving forward... God bless!

@idrankyourbeer: This guy is funny as hell. Some of y'all might like him, some might not. I'm in the former category for sure. :)

@HOLA: You probably won't like him if you're not on the left. Fair enough. To me, we agree on most things, he's intelligent, he's well informed, he's interesting. YMMV.

@Gutter Chris: Our views aren't as aligned as they once were. But whatever. He's a cool guy. I like him a lot. I respect him. He's a guy I'd like to have a beer with one day. We probably never will. But I enjoy interacting with him on this board for sure. He's a guy about my age and we have some shared interests and whatnot.

@LangfordBarrow: I like him a lot as a poster and a person. I like the Joe Louis gif he has as an av. He's consistently good in the War Room. We tend to agree on issues which is nice. Not a prerequisite by any means, but it is nice. :)

Worst Contributor: It would be pretty hard to narrow this down honestly. Not really worth trying IMHO. If you can narrow it down, I might agree. I haven't looked through this thread entirely yet. I've been pretty busy today doing different things but I want to read this thread and take it all in...

Best TS: Shit man, this is a HARD one. I don't know if we have a @MXZT of the War Room. There are some people I could think of I suppose, but not sure if one is head and shoulders above the rest.

Worst TS: Fuck if I know. I don't really care.

Best Mod: This is another HARD one. The mods who I've had the most interaction with lately include @Lowmanproblems (who became a new mod at the same time I did), @Strychnine, @HockeyBjj, @panamaican, @Ruprecht. @Substance Abuse doesn't moderate the War Room for the most part, but I've learned A LOT from him and I like him a lot. @Valhoven is a very experienced mod who's acted as a mentor for many mods here over the years. @Madmick is a guy who I once agreed with a lot and liked a lot and in terms of being a moderator, he's one of the most experienced and has come up with some innovative ideas in terms of modding. @Zebra Cheeks has been a mentor I would say, even if he's not in the War Room as much. @Jackonfire is another mod I've learned a lot from. @Oku and @giovanni_ss are other mods who I like a lot even if they're not really in this sub-forum much.

Worst Mod: Honestly, I don't think we have a mod right now who just sucks ass and isn't pulling his weight and holding the rest of us back. It's a damn good thing that we don't. It'd make our jobs a lot harder if we did. But being a mod here is a good job IMO.

Best thread: I don't even know.

Worst thread: Nothing in particular comes to mind.

Biggest WR melt down: There are SEVERAL I can recall. I don't know if one was worse than the other.

Best Ban: I don't know. I could tell you who I banned or helped get banned. Or who other mods did the same for. Banning is always a last option and we don't take it lightly. We don't like to ban accounts which have contributed and have been here for a long time.

Dirty Rat: I could give you some names I guess, but I try to be discreet. Just try to keep in mind that any post you make here could be reported and that there are potential consequences for any post.

Well anyway, that was fun. There are lots of posters here who I like and I enjoy reading their posts and replying to them, even if I don't necessarily agree or fully agree. There are probably many good posters who I left out unfortunately. My mistake. But I probably know who you are or have interacted with you all at one point or another. Take care.

I'm honored that anyone would even consider me to be in the running.

Thank you.

You know we're cool..I don't need someone to agree with me in order to get along, or even like them. I don't even get worked up about insults. It's false accusations or misrepresentation of my positions that gets me aggro.

And here's something I mentioned to you, and fits in this awards thread.

@saiamander's three wise men of Sherdog award:
@Deorum
@Islam Imamate
@Bald1

He wanted me to reach out to you guys, D and I I that is, and give you guys his respects. And I think that's pretty cool. The four of us are not only truly diverse but also sound like the beggining of some old school "... walked into a bar" joke. So cheers dudes.

You guys remember when he started saying some insane shit like “ask the widows of civil war vets if anyone won that war”?
Don't recall that mate. Post the post. I think you are just pulling that out of your ass like most of what you say in the WR. Mr. self-righteous.
Oh, and don’t forget about him derailing the thread when he was on about Navy Seals sucking, then getting mad about everyone picking on him and reporting them for derailing.
Now, to the true version of that story.
Some idiot (maybe even you) had already derailed the topic by talking about U.S. Navy SEALs. I was just throwing in my two cents. Yeah, I got a notice from @Strychnine (moderator) to go ahead and report on all the idiots that are flaming, derailing, off-topic, or trolling the Russia/Ukraine thread. So, I was only doing what the man asked. Of course, no one got carded, as usual. In case you have not noticed, you, and the rest of the Peanut Gallery, always put a smile on my face with your stupid comments. You guys actually believe you are hurting my feelings. Not even close. Stupid people thinking they are so self-righteous.

I haven't frequented here in about half a year but typically the best posters are the ones I agree with politically and the worst posters here are the communists trying to corrupt my children and offend my lord.

So with this in mind I see no point In trying to nominate people for awards on the guise of bipartisanship. But I will state the following

I would challenge @So Fresh to a duel, complete with dueling pistols.

I would take @Ares Black as a side kick in my semi truck long haul across Canada.

I would have a great pilsner beer with @Deorum and @Mr Holmes

I would keep @idrankyourbeer away from family events but join him at the bar later

I still can't figure out if @Queen B is veiled conservative troll account or a rather adaptive Google program

@Lowmanproblems is a sweet boi. The encouraging friend

I wouldn't mind having @Islam Imamate as my neighbor

@HOLA seems like other neighbor that would correct my hedges as they don't conform to the OHA's "standard"

I would probably start a business with @GearSolidMetal. Successful? Probably not

@Sano is a grumpy head that has never liked my posts

@Strychnine is the older man in the bar that I would take life advice from

@brackis1 is that guy at work that always tries to get you to skirt the rules with him. "Just quit man, F*** it"

@Halloween Jack just makes me think of Sasha grey and that's fine honestly

@Bald1 seems like the older brother that always did a little better than you but doesn't try to hold it over your head

That's all I got, I've been drinking to a gentleman's extent and that's all I got for now

After the year the US had I don’t know I’d condone the promotion of more gun violence

Let’s use swords instead

Best Contributor
@Bald1 or @MicroBrew. Nobody in here is objective but I feel like both are fair and explain their positions well.

Worst Contributor
@So Fresh no explanation needed or @brackis1 who has 2 types of posts a mini meltdown or popping in to derail threads

Best TS
@Arkain2K. Clean, sources, pics, fair presentation.

Worst TS
@Queen B. Has to be a gag by the mods.

Worst Mod
@panamaican. Master deflector, derailer, disingenuous. Boots threads because they aren't "political", one of such was one of the biggest political stories of the year.

Biggest WR melt down
@Ares Black honk honk. Or probably one of the banned posters, I missed most of those and only heard after the fact.

Dirty Rat
Not sure how I would know this one, don't have mod privileges and I'm not important enough or awful enough to routinely get carded.
<PlusJuan>

Really?
What would that make you Edinburgh boy? Another proud member of the Russia/Ukraine War thread Peanut Gallery.
Pathetic, cowardly, stupid, and whiny. That sounds a lot like you.

Said the, "man" who insulted dead Navy SEALs who died in the service of their country. Your lack of moral fibre is matched only by your breath-taking ignorance:rolleyes:

And yes, if the Peanut Gallery refers to the group of posters who regularly kick your ass all over the Russia/Ukraine Thread, then I'm proud to be a member;)

It's kinda funny that people think of the Freedom Convoy as a trucker protest when the trucker unions explicitly condemned them, and the vast majority of the complete fucking losers who occupied my neighborhood for a month were actually just unemployed trash.

You live in Ottawa? Lolololol HONK

Said the, "man" who insulted dead Navy SEALs who died in the service of their country. Your lack of moral fiber is matched only by your breath-taking ignorance.
No dumbass, that was not an insult, just my opinion of how SEAL Team 6 operated in Grenada.
I gave 20 years of service to my country - U.S. Army. I can say what I want about its military. You on the other hand have not served a day in your life. You should really keep your mouth shut.
And yes, if the Peanut Gallery refers to the group of posters who regularly kick your ass all over the Russia/Ukraine Thread.
The Peanut Gallery has not done shit. 5 dumbasses in their ivory tower with their sole opinion who think they are so self-righteous.

* Are we going in circles with this flaming bullshit like you like to do in the Russia/Ukraine thread? I have my coffee in hand and lots of hours to spare. Love to give the ignorant British boy some shit. He thinks he is so smart and so tough.

You insulted the SEALs because they represented a level of courage and professionalism you know you could never hope to attain yourself. Your jealousy and delusions of grandeur are blindingly obvious to anyone who reads your drivel. Twenty years in the US Army, and you didn't even know the history of the Revolutionary War:rolleyes:

The Peanut Gallery has made you our prison bitch. We run a train on you every time you try to argue with actual adults. And we live rent free

<TheDonald>

I'm off work today as well. So bring it, Septic;)

Best Contributor: @Deorum
Best contributor - @Deorum
Best Contributor - @Deorum cause i've never seen him with a bad post and also never seen him get involved in bickering, which is something i'm unsuccessfully trying to do myself.
No particular order, a list of stellar posters for either their on-point logic, unique brand of humour or combination of both:

@Deorum
Best Contributor: Based @Deorum
I would have a great pilsner beer with @Deorum and @Mr Holmes

Hey thanks, it's been real.

The Realest. Send my regards back to @salamander.

Best TS - Probably going to stick with @Arkain2K, as they're mostly good, well-evidenced threads with scope for WAR!
Worst TS - @deadshot138 who seems to get lower engagement and posts partisan hackery - but not always, they've done some good stuff too. @cottagecheesefan sometimes get massive engagement, but his partisan hackery makes deadshot look like a Reuters writer. They were also super misleading about the midterms, posting personal preference rather than news.

Best Mod - @Strychnine, @Halloween Jack and @Islam Imamate - Strych for his contributions to the War in Ukraine megathreads, Jack and Islam because they're consistently part of the hot topics here in the War Room
Worst Mod - I actually don't know - couldn't even make a joke about it, TBH

Best thread - Ukraine War Thread, despite the constant looping of arguments (usually instigated by the weird pro-Russia crew), it's so full of incredible information and facts and knowledge (when you cut through the bullshit)
Worst thread - Easily the Covid Vaxx bullshit thread. Although it's entertaining, some of these kids live in a parallel universe.

Biggest WR melt down - @San Marino in the war thread. Continually.

Best Ban - Wouldn't know to be honest with you. What are the options?

Dirty Rat - Pass

200+ replies over several days is low engagement
