Why am I being asked to disable my ad block on sherdog?

Imagine a site that's free to use wanting to make some money off ads.

FUCK SHERDOG! Not only should they absolutely let me run an ad-blocker, they should also PAY ME to be a user. This is fuckin bullshit..
 
Sherdog is gonna get their money, bud. You're either gonna pay to play, or you're going to wade through the madness of ads.

Me? I don't have that problem, neither one. Sherdog has always been good to me, from the layposter in the OT to the red names working on Fight Finder.

Actually I'm going to do neither, as I'd just stop coming to Sherdog if that is the case⁷, especially considering I go out of my way to use a completely different browser specifically for Sherdog(Brave browser).

Brave for a while here actually did stop the top & bottom ads, the audio ads, and redirect ads, it'sjust today & now that I had recieved a pop up ad x6 using Sherdawg(only use mobile too, until I fix my desktop) anymore I can't turn off adblock/use another browser as Sherdog doesn't use ads that are easily exitable, no audio, or even just a few amount, no Sherdog uses confusing, faux "X"/exitable, automatic hidden audio, redirecting, and top & bottom or full page ads.:confused:

Yeah, it's a pain. Unfortunately, this is the direction every website is going.
 
Platinum doesn't fix it, even on Brave.

People how have paid for an account still get a pop up. A pop up they paid to not get.

Once again I mention Firefox via PC access, and Noscript. Look at all the monetizing bullshit Sherdog wants to run on my computer that I shut down. I only enable enough to get bare functionality of the web site and the rest of their crap can pound sand. I have never seen a popup warning to turn off an adblocker ever. No animations, no autoplay videos that move, no advertisements, nothing. On any web site for that matter.

This is the 100% truth.

I actually don't mind ads for the most part. I even turn my ad blocker off because sometimes I shop online and I do want to see sponsored results. However once I start browsing sherdog I pretty much have to turn the ad blocker on or else I get bombarded by intrusive ads, including videos that will start playing without my permission.

I'd happily turn my ad blocker off if this site toned down the format of the ads they allow. Otherwise I find the site difficult to use without the ad blocker

Very frustrated to see this every time I go back on here. I'm literally paying not to get popups and now Sherdog itself is annoying me with their own.
 
Honestly think it's a matter of them not caring enough to make sure the way it works does not bother plat users. I bet they will fix it soon after these threads come up.
