Post Your Gloves/Gear

Do someone know here why Winning's products are almost always out of stock?

I bought 16oz Winning gloves 6years ago for 250€ (I guess at the time, it would have been 280$), today almost no website have them in stock and prices are just crazy, between 400 and 600 euro/dollars and you have to add the import taxes that are more than 100€...
What's going on here?

And I must say, despite all the good brands there is, I always end up selling my others gloves and come back to my winning, there are that good.
Fakes products are in all platforms like eBay, so very hard to trust.

Anybody have some informations about this situation?

From what I heard there's a boxing fad in China and the Chinese yuppies buy the best so.....Winnings are in short supply.

I have a pair of Fly's. Meh. Not Winning caliber IMHO.

Thanks! Ok so China is buying all the premium product... You talk about a strange turn of events.
I never really liked Fly from what I saw, they seem too broken from the start and poor wrist support. they would be at 150€, I would try, but not at their price.

I guess my best option are Adidas Adispeed or Ring to Cage C17 v2.0. Very hard to find the ring to cage in Europe, but apparently they are very good Winning clone.

Again, this is just what I heard so don't take it as gospel.
On Fly's I don't hate mine. Thyre in my regular sparring rotation but they're too soft, which is my real issue. However if you wanted to try I'd go to the Fly website and register and put a pair of gloves in your basket and then go away. I did that by accident and they started texting me "How bout we give you 5% off those gloves?" Then a few days later "How about 10% off?" I think they got up to 20% and I bit. Dunno if that gets them in your price range, but it's a no risk thing. And FWIW Fly's seem to have a better reputation than in my experience (I have the Superlace X's, from circa 2021ish.)

I can't speak on ring to cage or adidas.

The Ring to Cage's are probably the best Winning clones out there.

I just went for fun for the Everlast Powerlock 2. Small price and the wrist support seems interresting. Not a big risk!

Curious to see how you find them. I tried them out for a little while a few years ago, and found them to be pretty trash. I actually hurt my hand in them in such a way that I had to train southpaw for a couple of weeks while it healed. I've never gone back to Everlast after that, but I hear people praising the MX line all the time.

The wrist support issue is a little quizzical to me. I feel like one person said it and it gets repeated. Locking the wrist in place with the long laces is no problem.
I bought the superlace x about a year ago and I really love them. Padding is a nice in-between of feedback and protection

Better wrist support then winning Velcro lol

The fly x's are softer then the fly premiums in fairness.

I have no doubt that the fly are good gloves. But too expensive. And I have to say that I don't like the design and the logo... Make the action of buying a little more difficult when the price is high!

There is a guy in Japan on Insta who sells Winnings internationally without the ludicrous mark-up applied by most retailers. I got a pair from him 9 months ago. You tell him what you want and he will let you know when they're in stock. Ships and you have them inside a week. I found him through the boxing collector Insta chat group (probably a few of you guys are part of that too).
winningglovesglobal is his insta tag, I think.

What's the boxing collector insta chat group?

Edgar who runs the Boxing Collector site and used to be very active on here set up a group on Instagram of customers, glove fans etc. I only check in occasionally. But it's useful for stuff like sourcing gloves.

Received the gloves and tried them on the bag quickly. So just a quick review. Before I must say that I'm used to my winning 16oz that I use now since 6years. My winning are very very soft, I can literally squish them like a sponge. I don't remember at the start if they were like that. The padding still good for sparring, but I don't know if the wrist support is still supporting something... Winning are so expensive, it's sad to realize that they are not lasting forever...

Anyway about the PowerLock 2, they are very snug. My hand plus handwrap fit but forget about having knuckle guard. They are in overall very stiff, but again I'm used to very soft. The padding is a hard one, very nice pop on the bag. The lace system is very well done, I put my lacenLoop with the "Suave System" it's working very nicely. I must say my wrists seems lock.
They have an industrial feel, for the price it's normal. They remind me of the rival RS11v which I dont like because they never break in and the padding is super hard. The powerlock has a better wrist support and since it's real leather, I have good hope that they will break in nicely.

If they don't, I don't think I would spar with them, even at 16oz, way too hard. So to resume, seems good, the wrist technology seems to actually work compare to the Rival and their "angle" that honestly make no difference, but it will depend of how much they soften with time to make them a good glove.

Thanks for taking the time to review them.

I sent back the Powerlock 2 for a refund, there was a little hole in the leather on the punching area which is definitely not good for the evolution of the glove... So I guess the quality service is not the best in Everlast. But I got my hand on a pair of second hands Winning 14oz gloves, in very good condition. And I'm surprised, the 14oz is actually like the 12oz, small and snug compare to the 16oz that are huge with a lot of room inside the hand compartiment which make it not great to punch the bag with, but with more protection than the 12oz.

I post pictures of my 3 winnings, the red 12oz are totally new, and I'm selling them, not enough protection for my hands. Preferably inside the EU, to avoid mad custom, but don't hesitate to contact me if interested.

Opted for a pair of Yokkao shorts which absolutely love - great quality and construction with cool design which is less weird and 'tapout-ish' than a lot of Thai shorts. (Will try and add pics to this post later)

Have ordered a pair of their 12 oz gloves to see if the quality carries over (a friend has told me that they're his preferred brand of thai gloves so lets see). Thinking about some boxing gloves which err on the softer side for my bag work so looking at various suggestions in this thread.

Got another pair of the Yokkao shorts on order to add to the rotation, also looking for recs on good quality and fit rashguards for no gi too so feel free to throw any this wya.

Hey there,
I am selling a pair of slightly used 10 oz DiNardo Pro Fight Gloves in Red/White/Gold.
I'm based in Europe.
Pictures available via DM.

I sold all my boxing gloves due to financial issue (unemployed for 6 months). I sold 2 pair of sabas, 1 pair of winning , 1 pair of rival RB11, 1 pair of boxeo, 1 pair of Fly x, and keep my cleto reyes only. I will be using just cleto reyes for now. If my economy get better and I need to spar, I probably will get phenom gloves next time. Expensive gloves like winning just make me hesitant to use them.
