DC spends every day tormented by the demons of his losses. He constantly tries to prove he's the alpha with everyone he meets, as if it makes any difference at this point. I truly find him to be a sad, sniveling little man even though at one time he was an elite mixed martial artist.
The Dark Knight trilogy actually has some pretty powerful underlying themes. "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain", "He's not the hero we deserve but the hero we need right now." "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stranger" etc etc
I believe Dana is plotting for Poatan to fight Aspinall for the belt but Jones needs to have a retirement fight too. Dana knows he can promote Poatan as a "once ever" guy if he moves up and wins.
