News Tom Aspinall will defend his Interim Heavyweight title in a rematch against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 in Manchester, July 27

It'll officially kill the HW division if Aspinall loses this fight

Crocop or Pereira, a better combat sports athlete?

Until Pereira proves he can beat a good wrestler and not keep getting taken down by strikers, Cro Cop is the superior combat sports athlete

Tom Aspinall is the most dangerous human being alive

Spivak is a trash wrestler. Dollar store Judo too. Almeida is the only true test since Blaydes hasn't had much success for years getting a takedown.

Tom Aspinall is the most dangerous human being alive

And I love Aspinall as a fighter, but he has not proven to have two key skillsets yet to be mentioned with all time greats (TDD+cardio). He hasn't had to defend takedowns from a good wrestler yet, let alone an elite one like a Cain or DC. I'd like to see how he does against Almeida's takedown...

Tom Aspinall is the most dangerous human being alive

His TDD is about as proven as Gane's pre Ngannou. Gane had proven cardio though, while Aspinal has better offensive grappling than Gane. People never seem to learn before crowning a new all time great.

Tom Aspinall is the most dangerous human being alive

Doesn't seem like stuffing Blaydes these days means a whole lot. Blaydes was also 0-6 on takedowns against a relic JDS. Hopefully we get to see his TDD against Almeida, and striking against Gane before he eventually takes him down and submits him.

Tom Aspinall is the most dangerous human being alive

If Aspinall's TDD looks good against Almeida, his striking looks good against Gane, and he shows to have good cardio, he's def in HW GOAT talks talent wise

Aspinall vs HWs of 10+ years ago

How wasn't that prime Stipe though? He was 32 y/o with 14 pro fights, and 10 years training MMA against JDS at this point, and champ 1.5 years after losing the fight. Did he show something in the Hunt, Arlovski, Werdum fights that he didn't against JDS?

Or he beats all of them because of recency bias

Aspinall vs HWs of 10+ years ago

Cain must have an amazing chin to be taking all those hard shots from HWs since he only got dropped one time in his prime, which was against an all time great (prime JDS) when he was hit behind the ear which messed his equilibrium up. You guys would likely also pick Alex Pereira, Mark Hunt, Roy...

Media Islam Makhacev wants Arman next, then 170 pound title

Oliveira, RDA and Dariush all pulled out of fights forcing Islam to fight lesser opponents. Volk was better than any LW contender, and Islam dominated Oliveira, will dominate Poirier, and will likely beat Arman again. Would you seriously rather watch Islam steamroll Gamrot/Gaethje than fight...

Aspinall vs HWs of 10+ years ago

Cain was obviously still a green striker in his 5th pro fight against Kongo. Crazy how people always bring this fight up. It's like judging Alex Gus's grappling in his prime based off how he looked against Phil Davis.

If Stipe beats JJ = means nothing be/c JJ is washed. If JJ beats Stipe = means nothing be/c Stipe is washed.

Well yeah, both guys are clearly washed so it won't mean anything in terms of legacy. Like when Chael fought Machida, Rampage, Fedor, Wand, Tito. They were all washed so the fights meant nothing legacy wise.

Max Holloway’s Systematic Dismantling of Gaethje - Perfect Stylistic Matchup?

That was me lol. I thought Max wasn't going to be able to take the leg kicks, then get beaten up badly with the combo of Max's elite chin and Gaethje's elite power for LW. Glad Max made it out without taking much damage and with his stock higher than ever.
