I tend to agree -- it was close, but I feel it was a matter of time before Frye won. Tank didn't have the stamina to defeat Frye, and Frye already took his best shots (albeit not cleanly).
Stylistically, this is about as tough of a match up as I can think of for Borz at 185. I'm thinking Whitaker beats him via sprawl and brawl for 25 minutes or perhaps gets a finish in round 4 or 5. I'd love to see Borz prove me wrong though -- I really do like this match up.
This should be competitive, but I'm not the biggest fan of this match up. I'd prefer if these guys were used to test up and comers; not the worst match up though. I'm thinking I like Tavares by gritty decision.
I think I favor Barber here -- she seems more physical and able at this point of her career than Rose. I don't think Rose has the wrestling to take many fighters down at 125 either. I liked Rose more at 115.
That seemed like a proper tap to me. Either it was a tap or he was about to get choked out, and he was losing big anyways. I have no problem with the stoppage.
According to Sherdog fight finder, he went pro before they fought though... any reason why the fights would be amateur instead of pro? Usually once you go pro, you are banned from amateur fights, no? https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Shavkat-Rakhmonov-179185
