Congrats to Lewis. I doubted him. He proved me wrong, at least tonight. I still think he has quite a ways to go and not a tremendous amount of time to get there.
It was fully dislocated. Yeah, after a break you pop it back into place and you're like "come on ref I'm read to go again", but that's not how a fight works. He also definitely tapped and then tried to walk it back. I'm sorry that he doesn't like losing but he lost plain and simple, no one...
With the right matchup I think he could win a fight and get into the top 10 but I think there's no way he stays there for a full year. Start off on the wrong foot and I think he never makes it.
"Blocked" is one of the weirdest ways to describe defending a takedown. Like, are you a wizard in harry potter and takedown is a spell? We just call it "defended."
Also, this is a really bad take given that literally 5 fights earlier in the same card we saw Cesar Almeida getting taken down at...
Yeah, extremely rare. I can't think of hardly any times I've seen that in the UFC, Bellator, PFL, etc. It's definitely an option for when you're losing that single. I just suspect it's very hard to pull of because it takes probably a strength advantage and also maybe a surprise element.
Did you not see how he just put a thumb and index finger around his wrist like he was afraid to hold it, while he fully grabbed Holland's with his palm?
He's not in my top 5, no. Not in my top 10 either. The division was not very developed or competitive when he got there. I also weigh smaller divisions less than larger divisions. He would not beat, in a fight, anyone who would be in my top 10. Which should matter, if the topic is fist fighting.
There's no concrete evidence of this other than a media guy said he heard from a company man that xyz.
Whenever a company takes over they often have to terminate employees, cut ties with contractors, etc to become leaner and meaner. EVEN IF their story was wholly true, they are not the victims...
This story is fiction.
If this story was actually true, they would have released him from the contract within a month of the takeover. Instead they sat on it for months.
