so its not legit if you don't get the results you want
so to recap:
holding elections and giving people the opportunity to make their own decision = not legit
removing a democratically elected president in a foreign backed coup = legit
is that all?
ukraine was the red line after 2 decades of nato expansionism which was obvious provocation
nato lying and trying to expand its sphere of influence
yeah, all these color revolutions organically with no outside interference.
western governments and ngos pouring money into ukraine to "promote...
why is us in syria again?
actually elections did happen.
people in crimea voted in 2014 to leave ukraine and join russia.
same happened in donbas in 2022.
now just cause you don't like these results don't mean they didn't happen.
on paper or in reality?
yeah the territory isn't officially part of us, but us pretty much dictates country's policies.
would it make you feel better that crimea just declared independence and wasn't officially part of russian like south ossetia?
is it right wingers like orban or left...
yeah, but that was before nato expansion east that they said won't happen after fall of soviet union and ukraine democratically elected president being removed in a western backed coup.
puppet comedian was also talking about joining nato and putting nukes on border with russia
hmmm.... us already invaded bunch of countries and is still occupying syria, iraq and serbia...
also are you really saying that if russian backed groups ousted democratically elected leader of canada or mexico and that installed their puppet wants to put russian nukes on us border, us is just...
yeah, he introduced anti protest laws for no reason, has nothing to do with insurrectionists getting violent and actually killing people.
remember those insurrectionists snipers killing civilians?
people elected their president... foreign backed opposition doesn't get to remove him cause...
what? were you in coma in 90s and 00s or wasn't born yet? west already invaded plenty of countries to "spread democracy"
in ukraine they backed a coup to remove democratically elected president.
it's bizarre to even go there with wests track record
that's pretty much it... duly elected president is caving in and accepting demands from the rabid insurrectionists.
even then he was removed in a coup.
and you really think quoting some ultranationalist who celebrates killings of civilians helps your case here?
great! ppl will vote him out in next election
unfortunately they didn't get the chance to let their voices heard as western backed opposition just removed him in a coup even after he offered them early elections
so what you want them to do? let the violent insurrectionists murder cops and political opposition and do nothing about it?
whats the point of the government if not to preserve law and order?
i get you live in a place where government is not even in charge and criminals call all the shots so...
you mean violent insurrectionists attacking cops and political opposition?
western backed opposition removes democratically elected president cause hes not a western puppet
democracy at work
no, didn't want to be eu/us puppet and tried having good relations with both west and russia, but west pretty much made him choose.
also ukraine desperately needed money and the only thing they were gonna get ffrom eu was loads and whole bunch of conditions.
it wasn't a good deal for ukraine...
yeah, democratically elected president shouldn't be making decision. its up to western backed opposition that lost the election.
if hes not governing how western backed opposition wants him to govern they have every right to ignore the will of the people and remove him from power in a coup
well ukrainians made their choice when they elected yanukovych, but since that choice wasn't popular inthe west he was removed in a western backed coup. so much for "their sovereignty and ability to govern themselves"
also russians should just accept being discriminated against and do nothing...
