Media Alex Pereira wants Ankalaev next

As a huge Pereira fan, I agree :(

Media Dustin Poirier: "If You Don't Want To See A Gilly Attempt Don't Fly Out" Against Islam UFC 302

If Oliveira can't hit it on Tsarukyan, there's no chance Dustin hits it on Makhachev. He's going to end up on the bottom, Islam will take top control, pound him out, or get the sub. Islam by finish will be easy money on that fight. And I'm not an Islam fan.

Man this Holloway hype all of a sudden is kinda much

What's equally annoying are the people that come on after a fight and say "so and so is actually not that good" weather they win or not. You're the exact inverse of the people that you find annoying. Also, absolute garbage take that Frye vs Takayama was more badass than the end of round 5 last...

WMMA haters reached a new level of stupid last night

I didn't watch the fight. Or the Andrade fight. Didn't even read this thread of a grown man crying that WMMA isn't as popular because it's not as good. I watched Harrison though. That was a cool fight :)

Renzo Gracie: Paulo Costa Underwent Minor Elbow Surgery Ahead of UFC 294

No one said that you can't tap while standing. I listed out that it doesn't give enough time for the opponent to tap as one of several reasons that it's a dirty move.

Renzo Gracie: Paulo Costa Underwent Minor Elbow Surgery Ahead of UFC 294

It's not a true standing Americana, it's more like a standing elbow crank. The reason that you don't see the move often (at all) is because it's a dirty move, it doesn't give an opponent time to tap, and cranking it with a good amount of foce / velocity is really just to maim.

Renzo Gracie: Paulo Costa Underwent Minor Elbow Surgery Ahead of UFC 294

Since it's combat sports where people can get hurt, intentional eye pokes should be allowed too, right? How about intentional groin strikes? Hell, it's fighting, let's allow small joint manipulation and biting while we're at it.

Media Fiziev tore his ACL, likely out for 9-12 months

I've had 3 ACL surgeries. That shit is not fun and the recovery is a long long time. I hope he can bounce back from this

What Is the number 1 mistake you see among the best in the world?

Head hunting. Very few guys effectively mix up head, body, and lower limb strikes.

    A Level Athlete vs Bones

Pure delusion. We've seen this so many times. Gane is a hell of a physical specimen. Originally a basketball player that picked up high level soccer on a whim. Not to mention Muay Thai. I guarantee Gane is in a different galaxy with his striking compared to this guy, and look what happened to...

Valentina Shevchenko Blames Split Draw on Mexican Independence Day ‘Pressure’

9 sentences is too much for you? Given the poor arguments you make, you come across as someone that struggles with reading in general. Glad that you read enough to reply though! Stay ignorant, it'll serve you well in life <45>

Valentina Shevchenko Blames Split Draw on Mexican Independence Day ‘Pressure’

How many times do I have to teach you this lesson old man? You have a Mexican champ, who has a customized Mexican style belt, headlining the Mexican UFC card (titled in Spanish), taking place on Mexican independence day, showcasing other Mexican / Mexican heritage fighters, in an area with tons...

Commentators call out judge that gave the 10-8 round to Grasso to make it a draw

If you have it 3 rounds to 1 heading in to the 5th, you can be liberal with a 10-8 to make it a tie on your score card, no?

Commentators call out judge that gave the 10-8 round to Grasso to make it a draw

What does knowledge of the other score cards round by round matter if you're biased towards a fighter as a whole?

    Valentina is a sore loser

You really need it re-hashed? You had an issue with me using the term "home crowd advantage", and pointed out that the fight didn't take place in Mexico, so I pointed out that you have a Mexican champ, who has a customized Mexican style belt, headlining the Mexican UFC card (titled in Spanish)...

Grasso really celebrating the draw like if it was a win

I can see where you're coming from on the industry plant bit. I think Grasso is a hell of a fighter, and that's why I started by saying that I think she fought a great fight. Enjoy the rest of your weekend as well

Commentators call out judge that gave the 10-8 round to Grasso to make it a draw

You have a Mexican champ, who has a customized Mexican style belt, headlining the Mexican UFC card (titled in Spanish), taking place on Mexican independence day, in an area with tons of Mexican Americans, in a state that used to be part of Mexico. Given how long, and how hard, the UFC has tried...

Grasso really celebrating the draw like if it was a win

The way you put it just lacked context and made it sound like it was less close than it was among media observers. The point is that is that it's completely possible that judges were biased here (Doug Crosby is a notorious example, he's admitted to scoring fights for who he thinks the promotion...

Grasso really celebrating the draw like if it was a win

I'm saying that the UFC absolutely has every incentive for Grasso to retain the belt. It was a close fight, would it be a crazy idea to think the judges may be biased? Media observers were more split than you think. 12 went with Grasso, 11 went with Shevchenko. One moron scored it 47-46 Grasso...
