he has room to improve but i'm not sure if he will. his punching form is terrible when he loads up. He has some of the right ideas with how to punch but he really needs to polish it and he just hasnt. It's the main thing that holds him back. He's out here fighting exclusively 40 year old...
The UFC really just throws prospects to the wolves sometimes. Landing that head kick on Tavares has been horrible for Edmen's career.
I don't understand why they haven't given him a step back after Brunson. They give him the only other heavy top game elite MW in Jack right after, then give...
not that much, it doesn't and the criteria supports this. striking is weighed more heavily in rounds with little to no grappling, and vice versa.
And it wasn't close. Usman clearly won it with or without the td.
He got out struck 2:1, Umsan's shots were a lot better, and he got dropped twice and was in a terrible spot. In striking sports thats a 10-7 btw. Apples to oranges of course but c'mon.
That is fine grounds for a 10-8 based on the judging criteria even if the judges are inconsistent with it.
Some of his head position in the clinch wasn't good but he was overall fine, just looked like a noodle.
After he settled he was looking ok. The headkick off the back foot was nice.
His opponent was overextending the whole fight tho. Dude was primed to get knocked out
I mean both people involved are huge knobs but Danis is more annoying and is definitely less relevant.
he should be glad they didnt make him 1v1 a security guard.
Resume's do determine greatness actually.
he doesn't have great ability. he's just a slightly worse marvin vettori with a worse chin and some wrestling and no jab.
he looked awful in the first two rounds.
this guy is delusional but i do like him and enjoyed his fight.
he looked like a fucking noodle in the clinch and had atrocious defense. Nerves probably had a lot to do with the later because his distance control got better later in the round. we'll see what happens.
it's not a trilogy if you lost both fights, lol
and no, he doesn't. Usman can easily clean up his errors from last night and just shut Colby out of the fight. It isn't really to Colbys strategic doing that he got back into the fight, more of Usman's failures. Kamaru still cleanly won.
surely this is bait?
colby didn't even pressure last night. He fought pretty scared. He didn't even pressure Woodley that much to be honest.
Colby gets his fucking face jabbed off by GSP. Usman's distance control had Colby whiffing air hard, and Colby only really landed because Usman thinks...
he has no argument to winning lmao. it was closer to 4-1 Usman
Usman kind of shit the bed by letting Colby back into the fight in the first place.
Colby 0-2 against Usman, 0 wins over anyone in the top 15, just feed him to Chimaev and send him over to bellator or something.
