As much as I love Nirvana and Nevermind, even within the grunge genre, I’d rate Dirt by Alice In Chains higher. But this is subjective of course. Nothing wrong with rating one higher than the other. Anyway, I love Thriller but voted for The Dark Side of the Moon.
Just voted for The Dark Side of the Moon to put it one vote behind Thriller. I have some great early memories involving Thriller and I love Michael Jackson, but TDSOTM is a masterpiece.
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
Thriller was a tough cut. But it doesn't seem to need my vote anyway...
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Led Zeppelin II
Listened to the Black Album earlier today but didn't vote for it. It also seems a bit strange that there are TWO LZ albums in this poll, but perhaps it couldn't be avoided.
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
The Beatles - The Beatles (White Album)
Nirvana - In Utero
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
Listened to In Utero earlier today.
Pink Floyd - The Wall
The Doors - The Doors
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
Queen - A Night at the Opera
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III
Listened to The Doors yesterday. This poll was a bit easier than the previous one for me, oddly enough.
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
AC/DC - Back in Black
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Neil Young - Harvest
Hard leaving out the Black Album, Californication and many more. But it'll only get harder from here...
The girl who’s with Iris when Travis first encounters her, apparently was a 14-year-old prostitute who was a consultant of sorts on the film. This is according to the Bill Simmons podcast episode dedicated to the movie. So yeah it was kind of a snapshot of the grimy situation at the time.
I saw Scarface first and have watched it more times. I also have it on Blu-ray. I saw bits and pieces of Taxi Driver years ago and then watched it pretty recently. Scarface, while more entertaining, particularly to a younger man, is not artistically as rich as Taxi Driver. De Niro put in the...
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Alice in Chains - Dirt
The Beatles - Abbey Road
Lynyrd Skynyrd - (Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd)
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
Hardest so far, which I suppose isn't a surprise. Hard to cut Purple Rain, Bad, Nevermind and many more, but it had to be done.
Fucking brutal round, man. Tough, tough cuts.
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
The Beatles - Rubber Soul
I just changed my vote from Queen's The Works to their Breakfast in America. I love me some Queen, but I love a lot of the songs on BIA, so ultimately I went with that. This is my list overall:
Elton John - Honky Chateau
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
Radiohead - OK Computer
Supertramp -...
Metallica - '...And Justice for All'
Lynyrd Skynyrd - '(Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd)'
Queen - 'Sheer Heart Attack'
David Bowie - 'Station to Station'
The Rolling Stones - 'Exile on Main Street'
First time not voting for Pink Floyd. Sheer Heart Attack might be Queen's most flawless album...
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland
Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Californication
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
Bowie's Hunky Dory and Wonder's Talking Book were tough cuts along with the Byrds' Mr...
Office Space (1999): Watched this film for the first time last night. Was familiar with some of the scenes and memes but hadn't actually watched it until then. I'll say it's good but not great. I can see why it became a cult classic, but in a sense it's kind of like a skit that got blown up into...
