Kicking Punching Heavybag ( 1 Minute)

When you work the bag, you need to look at it where you're thawing with a goal or purpose in mind; The vid looks like you're just doing it as a finisher. When working the bag, try to emulate it like sparring/drilling; Work on footwork, distance, and striking. Hit and move, or push the bag, when...

    How important is mittwork?

Depends on the person tbh, its just another tool in the toolbox. Myself personally, its never been something thats gotten me significant improvement, I'm a heavybag guy; The heavybag has been something that has allowed me to improve heaps and bounds, padwork and mittwork never gave me that...

How important is it to be proficient in both southpaw and orthodox?

There's only so much time in the day you can work with, so its why most ppl tend to focus on one side (left vs right). For me, there are "attacks" I like when in sp, but its just momentary, in my case its a left body cross and switch kick (I'm orthodox), so I'll have combinations and setups...

Superman punch off of a check

Better to just throw a cross instead of a superman, cross is much faster and has a much weight behind it or more depending. Pretty standard to throw 2, 3, kick off a check

Realistic knife defence against resistance. Combat sports based.

Dog Brothers meets are some next level stuff, what I like the most is how nothing is really constrained, you're free to pick whatever objects and work with it, basically I get to see a diverse skillset and styles of MMA + weapons

Conditioning right before, after, or separate from muay thai training?

Depends on your priority, if skillwork, then do conditioning afterwards, if not, do conditioning beforehand, beforehand I mean in the morning. As others have said, keep the sessions separate, not in the same timeframe.

    What's your running routine like?

3 days a week. 2 of those are longer runs 7-8km, the other one is more anaerobic where I run to the local park (2km), do sprints, hill sprints, pull-ups, etc. then run back home (another 2km) Of course it depends on the weather, if its heavy rain, snow/ice I'm not running, I'll do the burpee...

People who asked you to go light before sparring are the worst

opposite for me, hardest was boxers I'm sure I'll offend a bunch, but I found MMA sparring "easier", in MMA i could relax at times as I stall and hold guard, I can't do that in pure striking where I always have to be "on my bicycle" when I'm gassed, MMA I can work off my guard, I can't do that...

Realistic knife defence against resistance. Combat sports based.

Yeah I'm not a fan of potentially compromising my base in a life/death situation like that; Plus having the chance to get your femoral artery cut is not going to do you any favors. I think these tricks can work because you are practicing with training partners, so the mood is still pretty...

Would you prefer being rich and famous, or rich but unknown

If someone wants a simple life away from all the trouble wealth brings, why not. Not everything has to be gaudy and over the top. I get your point, but at the same time, if having massive amounts of wealth brings the attn of unwanted eyes and stress, that's an issue that I wouldn't want. Im not...
