I'm not even calling out the fake woke people in this thread. These are Hong Kong people waving American flags as their saviour and arguing for freedom of speech yet they are wearing products of a league that has openly supported the government they are protesting against.
Can you see how...
He's an activist when it can make him money. Like what all celebrities and corporations do. You think they really care about social causes? It's all done to promote their brand.
The same India that just pulled an even more aggressive Hong Kong on Kashmir? And yes the NBA are looking to expand there but India isn't seen as evil by the white eyes of America.
But to put this in simplistic terms isn't buying Chinese products helping their economy to use it to silence the critics? So wouldn't not buying Chinese products increase leverage for freedom of speech?
I don't give two shits about Lebron. I think most "woke" people like him are fake and only jump on the "it" cause when it makes them feel good. Just like some here in this thread.
No he just has been silenced. I just find it funny that a high school educated basketball player is held more accountable for freedom of speech than the President of the country that promotes it.
Isn't obvious he's fake considering he has his shoes made there? Shouldn't the uproar already have happened since all these athletes gets their shoes made by slave labour?
Where is Kanter's thoughts on this? I know he stated a generic comment about Freedom is not Free but shouldn't he also be held accountable for not speaking against China specifically? Since he's the Lebron equivalent of Wokeness against his own country.
