Tochi is simply not able to perform as an Ozeki. Permanent demotion seems inevitable unfortunately
Goeido always does well in September. Enho is hard to deny for another technique prize if he gets KK.
Why? It's not like he was going to keep them forever. Optimally he would have retired last year, and in that case he'd have lost them both much earlier still.
I understand where you're coming from and you just might get your wish. DC would also probably hate to retire 1-1.
From my perspective its better 1-1 than 1-2, I don't like seeing clearly past prime fighters chasing a win, especially at HW and when there's such a good career for him post...
Seems like a big ask for a guy at age 40 (maybe 41 in the trilogy) coming off a hard fought loss. The main correction to be made I think would be weight, absolutely ridiculous that he was 246 in cage.
Yeah, maybe if he gets all his ducks in a row, comes in at the best possible shape and...
That's the dream but I doubt it man. Never seen him get tired in the second round like that, he cant go 5 hard rounds weighing in the 240s anymore. He should have been 230 for this last fight. With DC's huge disadvantage in height and reach he needs be able to push a pace for five rounds, or...
DC is on the decline and will only get worse in the third fight. He should cut his losses and get out now. It's possible to imagine him winning the trilogy, Stipe is beatable, but I don't think he should risk it anymore. His 40 year old retirement date was well chosen.
