I picked Diaz-Khazmat because it will be the last fight ever for one of the UFC's most colorful fighters. Everybody has their last fight sooner or later though. It's funny, neither Diaz bro is a great fighter, but the Diaz brothers will both be remembered for a long time. Never been a Nate...
I was rooting for Jones in that fight, but being a long time fan of PRIDE, it was sad to see. He tapped to strikes, and not many fighters do that. A pride thing I guess. Shogun will always be a legend though. Also showed how great a fighter Jones was then too.
I have been a big fan of Jones since he destroyed Brandon Vera, but even I am getting tired of waiting for him to fight again. Maybe when he steps into the cage I'll be excited, but as of now, I don't care anymore. There are plenty of other fighters worth watching.
No fighter leaving would make me stop watching. I have been watching since 1995, have seen many fav fighters come and go, but have always found others to root for. Only athlete to retire and I never watched the sport again, was Michael Jordan. I can live without basketball, but I need my MMA!
It's kind of funny, that in PRIDE, you could soccer kick a guy in the head, knee a downed fighter in the head, but if a guy starts bleeding, STOP THE FIGHT! Lucky thing for Nick Diaz, that his fight with Gomi was in USA!:D
Most creative and dangerous striker in MMA history in my opinion. He has a great kick against Yushin Okami too, even though he was DQ'd for it. Wasn't a UFC fight though, I don't think.
The UFC poster looks a lot nicer to me, but it sure doesn't have nearly as much info! The UFC poster looks like a piece of art, the PRIDE poster looks like a fight poster. I would rather have the fight poster.
The UFC is rematch happy in the first place, so doesn't Glover deserve the rematch? He was 30 seconds away from winning the fight, and it was an entertaining fight. Bring on rounds 6-10!
I would say Nate is better than average, but not a HOF'er. Him and Nick both are as famous for their attitude as for their actual fighting skills. Lets face it, they have both lost to some pretty average fighters over their careers. They sold their brand well to the public, and made some good...
I would want my PPV money back, and would think Diaz is the biggest pussy in UFC history. I doubt he would get paid either, and he would end up fighting Dana in court.
Conor hasn't been the same fighter since they fought the first time, so I bet Dana will block it. Dana wants McGregor fighting in UFC and drawing fans to his sport, not boxing.
