It's a well done movie. I really liked it. I was worried it was gonna go woke like so many movies these days, but it was well-written and told its story well. The pacing didn't bother me. I liked it. I wish it could have been done in one movie, but I recognize that that's not feasible.
Tombstone goes a bit flat after the O.K. Corral shootout. After that it kind of sags in its energy but it gets saved by Doc's moment at the end. Overall it didn't have that full head of steam throughout it that other quality films like Demolition Man had, so I couldn't pick it. Obviously, I...
Sure. I will. One can be predictive about something but still retain rational thought later while experiencing it.
I would LOVE for the show to be incredible, because I enjoy good t.v. more than bad t.v.
I just won't be surprised if I'm right.
Likely, the show will be unoriginal and substandard in writing quality, so by shamelessly capitalizing on a previous success they will make more money than they ought to. It's what all these remakes do: under-deliver in quality but still make a quick buck off nostalgia.
Why is it the worst possible comparison for so many reasons? You didn't give any facts for your reasons? And I'm being combative. I'd genuinely like to hear them. Sylvia was a top ranked HW in MMA, widely regarded for his stand up, who was beaten quickly by an upper-middle level boxer by KO...
Joshua doesn't show up in top mental condition for all of his fights, though. He is a mentally uneven fighter. He might psych himself out and be afraid to assert the ring generalship.
I have 2 minds about this, both agree with you. On the one hand, trailers do have a bad habit of spoiling (but this is the thoughtless, impatient age we live in), and also some of these movies that are spoiled by random clips from the trailer weren't that well written to begin with.
Yes. I agree completely. His five movies in a row, were a fucking stellar lineup. The essence of action. To me, there are two Seagals. That one above, and then the other, who I can't take as seriously.
It was -40 with wind chill on Friday in the Canadian prairies. In -2 you can wear shorts and a hoodie and run a quick errand without too much hassle from the cold.
Edit: I just saw the F when I read I was assuming Celsius, which was my mistake, bud! That -2F is what? -20? Yeah that's damn cold...
Maverick
9/10
It was exactly what you want from an action movie that harkens back to an unapologetic era. Plus they didn't feel the need to pander to any woke bullshit like removing Tom Cruise and recasting Maverick as a black transsexual.
