News Joaquin Buckley vs Nursulton Ruziboev set as UFC St Louis co-main event on May 11th

This was my thought as well -- I think he just really wants to be on this card. I respect the hell out of him for taking this fight though.

News Joaquin Buckley vs Nursulton Ruziboev set as UFC St Louis co-main event on May 11th

Ruziboev has looked so damn good at 185 -- I had no idea he was small for a middleweight. This should be a banger of a fight.

Media Anthony Smith says Alex Pereira would "jump at the opportunity" to fight him

I remember that -- he was on ESPN doing the post fight analysis of Santos/Ankalaev and was saying how unimpressed he was with Ankalaev despite pitching a shutout against a guy that KO'd him previously. He then faces Ankalaev and gets dominated after dismissing him.

Media Anthony Smith says Alex Pereira would "jump at the opportunity" to fight him

Yeah, I suppose you're right. He takes it too far.

Charles Oliveira’s strength of schedule vs Islam Mach’s

How about this -- both of them are great fucking fighters. Islam Happened to defeat Charley Olives, but let's not act like there is any mutual exclusivity to both of them being phenomenal fighters and probably future HOFers.

News Joshua Van vs Tatsuro Taira set for UFC 302 on June 1st

Win or lose, I'd love to see some slick scrambles and I'd like to see Taira flex his stand up a bit more.

News Joshua Van vs Tatsuro Taira set for UFC 302 on June 1st

Surprisingly, I've never seen Van fight but he has a pretty nice resume. Hopefully he knows how to grapple. I don't know how I've missed him all this time with the wins he has.

    Poatan-Ank. Who wins? And how?

If Ankalaev chooses to go for the knockout like he says he will, I think Pereira wins by KO. If Ankalaev chooses to wrestle, however, I think he takes Poatan down and gets a submission in round 1 or 2.

Media Anthony Smith says Alex Pereira would "jump at the opportunity" to fight him

I know Anthony Smith is a walking joke to most, but what should he say? That he has no shot? With that said, no I don't think he has a title run left in him lol

Media Chris Weidman compares Alex Pereira to Ben Askren: ‘It’s such a deficiency in what we’ve seen so far’

I don't feel his comments are delusional. I don't feel that anything he said in the quote provided is far off. Pereira has been matched up with predominately strikers.

What happened to Kevin Lee ?

Kevin Lee's skills depleted overnight. I kinda wonder how much of it had to do with the passing of Robert Follis. It's easy to call him a can nowadays, but if you look at what he did in his career, it is quite impressive. He gave Gregor Gillespie his only loss, and who has more dominant wins...

Media Nate Diaz sued for 2023 New Orleans brawl

Good to know -- I wasn't aware the dude already tried to get money lol

Media Nate Diaz sued for 2023 New Orleans brawl

I'm a Diaz fan but this doesn't surprise me -- that dude was pretty fucked up, and based on the video, it'll be hard to claim self defense. Hopefully they settle out of court and the fiasco is avoided.

    Garrett Armfield begging for follows

On a related note, he looked good in his last fight. I didn't think he'd beat Katona.

Media Justin Gaethje Opens Up About Max Holloway Fight at UFC 300 (With Cliffs).

Thanks for the cliffs! Cheers to Justin -- win, lose, or draw he gives everything he has.

Is Conor ko'ing Aldo the greatest fighting performance in the UFC history?

I think it depends on what you value in master class performances. Some may argue that it wasn't since he didn't show off his ground game whereas others wouldn simply argue that he didn't have to because his shot was so accurate. It could be argued to be at the top for sure when you factor in...

Rewatch Michael Johnson Beneil Dariush, what a robbery !

Agreed -- I won money on that fight and even I thought it was a poor decision. That was a great performance by Johnson.
