Good news guys.. they cleared up the bridge, it was unsettling to voters...

So to clean up those images, we just released 12,000 hatians into the country with no background checks, no covid shots and no real plan to adress the next 20k that are on the way.

we need to let them all cross. It is insane to leave them suffering. Get them across and started on making a new life. Give them a notice to appear, health care and food stamps. Why are we content to treat humans this way?

The idea to "never negotiate with terrorists" applies to emotional blackmail as well. The thing is people with agendas will notice and exploit weaknesses. That's not a knock against those looking to make a better life for themselves, mind you, but a criticism of a system showing the 3rd world the blueprint of how to bypass the rules. Anyone remember the Jungle in Calais? Yeah, look forward to more of the same.

Nevermind the absolute irresponsible idiocy of letting tens of thousands of unverified and unvaccinated people into a country on the verge of mandatory vaccination. Literally clown world.

This is a nice sentiment but encouraging the depopulation of large swaths of the developing world is not a long term solution to their problems. What about the other 10-12 million Haitians stuck on the Island. And what about the other 50-100 million indigenous peoples from Mexico down to Nicaragua who have it just as bad if not worse?

Haiti has been a banana republic from the get go. We have an obligation to help, along with the French (the EU) but having a revolving door at our border is not the answer.

Yeah, hence it's proven they are not fleeing war or even the earthquake itself. They're just trying to get as much money as possible.
Very different from say, some guy moving from Syria to Lebanon or Turkey while the war rages on but planning to go back when things get better.

I could be wrong but I don't think the 10,000 migrants in Del Rio are bringing STEM backgrounds with them. These are mostly unskilled workers who swing hammers. "Reduce the value of labor" lmao this is like someone read the first 2 chapters of Das Kapital and thought they had a clever meme idea. GTFO
