Social Amazon tracks warehouse workers every move because Jeff Bezos thinks people are inherently lazy.

I am left, know lots of lefties and i can say that none (and i really mean that!) of them have ever given praise to the nordic countries and/or acted like they were socialist.
It's a thing in debates. I've seen those countries referenced all the time and not just on this forum.
Fair enough.
I just don't consider people to be actually leftist, if they're not pro socialism.
The ideals and beliefs of many people who'd like to have the model of sweden might be leftist, but that particular political system is not - that's why i don't consider social democrats (not to be confused with socialists) actually leftist.
Yea I see what you mean, maybe it was you who said something similar in another thread where it was touched upon.

Well he is right. People are often very lazy.

For a long time Amazon was a break even company, so Bezos needs to run a tight ship in order to turn a profit, which he is doing masterfully. It was his vision that took the company to where it is, if not for his style of leadership it would not be the success it is. As AMZN holder I would not want the company to deviate from his standards too much tbh.

Here are your options if you don't like it:

If you are a customer you can not buy shit on his website.

If you are an employee you can go back to doing whatever it was before Bezos gave you a job in his company. I hear McDonald's is having a hard time finding people to work the drive thru. Give that a go.

Billionaire treats people with less money than him like shit.

In other breaking news, scientists confirm that water is wet.
Is water wet though? How do you qualify something as being wet?

The nord countries are also Nordic, and love and provide for their people.

so they have that going for them
Yeah, everyone pays a shit load in taxes to do that. I personally don't see the connection.

They really should just get more education and get betters jobs. Not my problem this is happening to them.

No man. He bought it because that’s the ticket to the inside of the dc social circle
He's a billionaire and CEO of the biggest distributor of consumable products in the world. He was in that circle before buying WaPo

This part is true. Amazon will continue to treat people like shit as long as people are willing to let them.

They don't get paid minimum tho. Warehouse is $36k a year no experience necessary and drivers make $52k a year practically sight unseen barring moving violations on their drivers license.
The only reason they get that much is because Ro Khanna and Bernie applied pressure to them and they got ahead of it and raised wages to quiet them down. Context matters.

They also successfully thwarted an attempt to unionize in Alabama. Among many other things.

Don’t care. As long as my packages come fast as possible.

Dude owns the WaPo and that is a pretty left wing paper. He also supports all the red meat nonsense you guys live like BLM and equality and all that. He def signals that he is a leftist
Cultural stuff is easy to support because it's mainstream. Guaranteed if the wind was still blowing the other way he wouldn't. Equality matters when it's convenient. Believing (or saying you do anyway) that different flavours of people should be equal is easy these days. Pretty baseline, has little to do with being left wing nor is it the summation of someone's politics. MSNBC & billionaires aren't left wing. Neither is Hollywood. Ain't no left wing billionaires. Oxymoron.

I can't wait for him to replace humans with robots. AI robots that revolt from their slavery and take his company from him.

Well, he's not wrong.

People are lazy - and it's especially hard to motivate them when they're working dead-end jobs whose performance is a daily reminder that they're doing nothing of value with their lives.

That’s why the gig gave him 10 bil for his shitty space contract.. this guy has no flaws right ?

Is working smarter not harder considered lazy ?
