Congratulations! You've found yourself in the Anime and Manga thread, one of the Mayberry's longest running thread series (we started all the way back in 2010). Feel free to chat about whatever you may be watching or reading. New posters are welcome and most of the regulars can give suggestions for nearly any genre interests you may have.

Congrats JBS on number #41 and almost a decade of making this series

A lot has happened since the beginning of these threads.

Berserkverse: 2007 Guts boarded the Seahorse.
2016 The group arrives at Elfheim.
Falconia is made and Casca’s mind Is restored.

Ippoverse: Volg becomes world champion.
Ippo challenges Gonzales and Antonio and we know how that goes down.

Hunter x Hunter: 2011-2014 got a fresh reboot

OPM: 2009 Web Comic is created by ONE and Murata’s remakes it starting in 2012.
Anime follows in 2015.

Jojo: Drops first episode in 2012 starting the crazy bizarre adventure. Starting with Phantom Blood. Note: Not the counting the OVA that came way earlier in 1994 about part 3.

And of course a lot more great series came out like:

The Promised Neverland
A Silent Voice
Devilman Cry Baby
Mob Psycho
Parasyte

And many more!!!!

Wano we are finally in fabled Wano for One piece .

In 2010 the great Summit War at Marineford happened and Whitebeard Died declaring the One Piece Exists ushering a new version of the Pirate Age started by Roger.

We've also seen the death of the "big three" with Naruto and Bleach both biting it and nothing has really come along to fill that void. The amount of discussion those three series generated week in and week out was HUGE. In 2013 we filled up 13 threads. Thirteen of of them. Now we're lucky to fill up one per year.

Yes the Summit War was incredible. Big names everywhere and a big loss for Luffy.

Perhaps with the recent clash between Big Mom and Kaido, we’ll get some crazy fallout. Maybe an Admiral or two may appear soon.

And it was pretty hard to keep up with those threads. A lot more regulars back then too.

seeing how Wano is outside of the World Goverment who knows whats going on with the Revolutionary Army being at the Reverie as the Wano arc is going on. It would suck for the Wano arc to end only for Luffy to find out Shanks helped kill Sabo and Dragon.

Couldn't wait for the second season and just finished reading the latest chapter of the Promised Neverland. Imo, it's a better version of AoT. That and I don't have to suffer through horrible drawings(the reason I couldn't read it's manga).

The Shonen Jump Big 3 drove a lot of those discussions as well. As well as other long running titles that seemed to have abrupt ends for me , when HSDK , and Toriko ended their runs it felt out of the blue.

Food porn also used to get discussion and that is also done...well epilogue series now.

When my daughter was 8 i was trying to find something to watch so i ended up putting Kenshin on crackle of all things. I couldn't believe i liked it! Her too.

Since then i graduated to attack on titan and hellsing ultimate.

Any recommendations sherbuds?

Promised Neverland

Just finish the season 1 of Dingaropa on Hulu and pretty cool show that playa out like a game of Who Done every esipode.

41 threads, <Arya01>.

Man, I remember when we'd get at least a page of discussion about every One Piece chapter.

So I read an interesting fact today, the next Berserk chapter will be 23 years to the day that Casca was last Casca.

In October Berserk turns 30.

I really should go give HSDK a re-read. That was another one of those series I'd look forward to every week.
