Anyone else still physically going to work?

I work in television so I'm classed as key worker. I work with systems and file sizes which are incompatible with working from home, but our schedule has been reduced to absolute bare essentials - so I'm only going in one day a week.

They get me for cabs both ways, and the building is pretty much empty. Alcohol wipes everywhere and sanitizer dispensers by every door - my hands have aged about 10 years in the last month.

All my staff are remote, so it's business as usual for most of them. I had to lay off a few people who were stuck on a dead project.

I run everything remote too, so the day to day doesn't change much as far as work for me

Yup. I am in a long term care home that specializes in difficult case. We have diseases and ailments you never even heard of. Plus it is damn near an insane asylum. It was a pretty rough place to work in before there was a pandemic.

Yup. My workplace was somehow classed as an essential business and we're completely slammed with more work than we can handle.
We actually had to hire more staff and all the longtime employees including myself got a pay raise.

Ontario's list of essential businesses is so long that it confirms no one knows what to do.

Yes, I'm literally in the office every day right now including the weekend. I am just setting my own hours. We are closed to the public unless someone needs documents notarized. Our state is behind on remote notary. They will just drop off the documents very quickly and confirm signatures. Other than that, we are completely closed to the public. The rest of my staff comes in very minimal based on workload and does the rest from home.

Yeah but I'm jealous of the people getting $1000 a week unemployment and sitting at home playing video games all day. Fuckers.

I run a BBQ food truck, so I'm still cooking and vending. So far so good, but we'll see what happens in the near future.

I work from home anyways. So I still have to walk up the stairs to make sure my monitor-tan game is tiiiiiiiiiiight

Still working plus overtime. I wash my hands alot and wipe down all the shared equipment that other people use before I touch it.

Yes we never missed a beat.
I help facilitate international trade

They're shutting the doors Monday evening. I'd rather stay working because the Honey-do list has grown to epic proportions.

Work maintenance on the Las Vegas strip. I'm down to three days a week. I sneak in a "secret" entrance and dont see a soul except the E.R.T. (emergency response team) which is essentially a private swat team my company hired to patrol the building and I go nowhere near them. They are decked out in armor with weapons. It feels like I'm playing The Division but it's real life. We had a bunch of security guarding the entrances they couldn't lock due to fire code but a bunch of them quit so they said fuck it and locked them up anyway. It truly feels like the end of times. Giant casino hotel all to myself.

Me they cut me down to 4 days a week and as of today they switched it to 3. I still get paid the same amount regardless so I'm making money not spending on gas. When I do work I watch movies or tv shows nearly all day.

Now that I'm down to 3 days a week my wife informed me I should reorganize the garage (which needs to be done), reorganize the office, fix the sliding door, see if I can fix the water heater (it cant be fixed it needs to be replaced but she likes me "checking" if I can fix it first), among many other things so I feel your pain brother. I do wana work on the garage but the rest ain't getting done anytime soon. The sliding door needs replaced too I already took it completely off and realized that but she always assumes I can fix everything even though I'm not particularly handy.

I fix computers for a living. My job switched from the regular 10 AM to 9 PM hours to 10-6 due to virus here in NY on the week of the 22nd plus we weren't taking in any new repairs starting that Friday and were not allowing non employees inside. I managed to finish the one remaining on Saturday and called the person to come curbside to pickup their unit. Came to work Sunday the 29th and called all the people who had finished units to pick them up because I was not sure if we would still be open. Sure enough at 5 PM my manager speaks to me and says they closed our department down fully and that we will be off for the foreseeable future starting Monday. Only managers and the warehouse would still come to work. I was then told that we would be reopening for Friday and Saturday just for curbside pickup. This was Thursday the 26th and nobody wanted to work those two days so I volunteered because we were getting $2.50 hazard pay on top of what we already make. However by 7 PM was told all our locations in Nassau County are fully closed down. I haven't been to work since the 29th and we are closed at least until the 18th but the good thing is we are still getting paid until then. I'm not sure about after that if we are still closed.
