International Anyone understand the Morocco, Western Sahara dispute? Why cant Morocco or world just

Recognize their sovergienty over western sahara.

The US did recently

But what is the issue? Why do mainly black nations support the rebel state known as the Sahrawhi democratic republic? Which is the enclave in the desert not under Moroccan control in Western Sahara and is filled with terrorists?

Why Algeria give them refugee?

Who are these people?

Western Sahara historically belonged to Morocco and was occupied by the Spanish empire. Yet Spain gave it up and the world wont somehow recogonize that it logically belongs to Morocco

Honestly, Morroco, Mali, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya should all unite into one state IMO. Each nation is made of a dozen different tribes anyway.

Pan-Berber conciousness is starting to rise in these countries recently.

Well there are major sea ports involved, which means the country that controls the Western Sahara has access to a potentially lucrative sea trade related tax base.

People fight over that kind of thing.
