I have sort of a hernia ..... my stomach muscles tore and created separation. Doc says to no longer do sit ups or any variation. Obviously any hope for a 6 pack again is shot. Buy anyone know of a good exercise non sit up related to at least make stomach look toned?
 
Get the exercises cleared by your doctor....

But heres my list....

Lower bodyfat. Your muscles show better when youre lean as fuck...

Farmers walks
 
i like the palov press and stuff like plate rotations.
all overhead work especially one armed works your core a lot.
 
What kind of hernia is it? Are you scheduled for surgery?

I've had an inguinal hernia before that i've had operated on. It has to be redone because the mesh has partially come apart, plus I need the other side done (which is common). I am looking at doing the Shuldice method which is a mesh free surgery.

Your stomach can look toned without sit-ups/core work if you change your diet (intermittent fasting/greatly reducing carbs/removal of all sugars in its many different forms)

Doing anything that is going to stress wherever your hernia is unless you want to make things worse.
