It was an obvious strategic choice by Islam. He himself admitted he chose Volk over Gamrot. You think he did that for shits and giggles or something?

Volk is better than Gamrot even on 2 weeks' notice, and the notion here after the first fight was that Volk would give Islam his hardest test, Islam also didn't prepare for Volk, and the fight ended in 2 minutes so conditioning wasn't a factor.
