I wanted to post the shoes that are available at one of the Tokyo shops.
The shop is Center Sports is Shibuya.

They have a lot of different colorways for Asics boxing shoes, and a couple of Mizuno shoes. The mid-rise with flap tongue.

The guy at the shop said that these were made for his shop by Asics and Mizuno. I'm not sure if they are available elsewhere or not.

Pretty good selection for a small shop. I figured I'd share some pics here.

PRICES:

Asics mid-rise shoes ¥17,500 ($165 USD)
Asics hi-rise shoes ¥17,800 ($168 USD)
Mizuno low-rise w/flap tongue ¥23,000 ($217 USD)
Winning shoes ¥20,000 ($189 USD)

They have some Asics Mat Control and Mat Flex wrestling shoes also. But I was just interested in the boxing shoes since they don't seem to be available anywhere else online in these colors.

There are some other options I've seen on eBay from a Japanese seller.

The Asics Japan site does have the high rise model in a couple of colorways though.

Do they have men sizes or is it still pixie sized like online ?

They have up to Japanese size 29.0.
That's a US size 11.

I wear a Japanese size 28.5, which is (US 10 1/2), or (UK 10).

Most of those colorways were in stock in my size, or size 29.

What brand are those blue and red shoes? They kind of look like knockoff Nikes.

I asked about those blue and red shoes while I was there.

Those are a generic, Made in Pakistan shoe.
They wanted to stock something at a low price point.

Around $45 USD.

Steve Mitani from America-Ya still stocks Mizuno and quite a few of them and they seem to be custom colour ways. The prices seem a bit steep for something that looks less durable than the Nike HyperKO for example. And this isn't taking into account the applicable customs duty. Although I am a big fan of them with that old school tongue.

I can no longer find the America-Ya page on Rakuten. Has it moved? How do I get in touch with Steve Mitani?
All the best,
Gus

Rakuten doesn't have an international site anymore. you'll have to use the Japanese site and use chrome etc to translate. I think his details are on the page. I'm not sure if he still does worldwide shipping but I don't see why not.
