These are great, but if we're going to scores, I'm not sure there has ever been a more inspiring theme than Patrick Doyle's scoring for Henry's Crispin Day speech in Branagh's film from the 90's of the Shakespeare play. This thing was so goddamn popular in the late 90's I swear I heard it used in more than two dozen trailers/montages and other marketing campaigns for various movies, TV shows, and so forth. The only other scores from the era that I think can compete as far as offering this same feeling of momentous, life-affirming, heart-racing inspiration are the main themes from Glory and Chariots of Fire.
If you're unfamiliar, you have to wait until 2:29 before the central motif of this theme is played for the first time.
The Lost Boys theme was pretty epic.
World of imagination from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory
Now you're a man from Orgazmo
The dark side from Eddie and the Cruisers
from one of the best movies ever. It would have cleaned house in the Oscars/Academy awards -if it had not been unfortunate enough to compete with Schindlers list in every category that year.
