Blaydes had a TDD of 33% before the Almeida fight, now he is at 31%

So good offensive wrestling, bad defensive wrestling. Interesting.

He was letting Jailton tire himout, all part of the plan

He knew Jailton wasnt gonna strike with him so he hung tight, waited patiently, and then struck when the right moment came, smart gameplan

I don't quite get the idea of making large claims based on small amounts of meaningless data.

Leon has multiple TDs of Usman and Colby. So, that means their wrestling sucks? Or maybe that Leon is a D1-level wrestler?

Doesn't matter because he finished Cody and he dominated Volkov.

And most importantly, he stopped the takedown that mattered and caved that Brazilian Blanket's head in.

Blaydez Bless.

Yeh, those stats really are meaningless.

People can get taken down for all sorts of reasons. Maybe they gassed themselves out completely, ran into a reactive td when they were trying to finish, etc. Maybe they just had matchups that saw them less likely to even have to worry about tds and vice versa.

And fighters absolutely improve.

Royval has shit-tier tdd rate, but then stopped like all of Moreno's.

Dern is the best though. Couldn't hit a takedown on anyone. Think she had the worst td rate in the division, and then comes out in the first round against Lemos and hits probably the best double leg takedown in SW history haha.
