Just bought two Aero precision stripped lowers.

No particular reason, got them on a whim from Primary Arms.

At the moment i could waste more loot either, completing them, buying a glock 48, buying reloading components, or throwing them in a drawer and not spending any more at all.

But in case i complete them what are some assembly suggestions? I use the term assembly over build, because parts assembly is all an AR build really is. Semantics assides, my criteria are:

Performance oriented, (accuracy)
Simple
Inexspensive.

16 to 20 inch barrel, stainless only.
2 stage trigger
Collapsible stock for one.

Suggestions?

What do you plan on doing with the "build(s)". If I was going 18 or 20 I'd be setting it up differently than a 16".

You have aero uppers as well or will be purchasing them? I would go Aero upper/handguard, lpk minus fcg, upper parts less barrel.

How much do you want to spend on the barrel? You plan on hunting, matches, groups, etc? If you planned on achieving accuracy above all else that means more $ on the barrel imo.

This is probably the highest quality 2 stage trigger for under $100. It's 4.5lb total pull weight, I have a Geissele at sub 2lb. So trigger depends on what you want to spend vs pull weight.

https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-straight-bow-trigger/

It's available in curved as well.

Would you be interested in the A5 buffer system? It uses a rifle length spring with a slightly shorter buffer and tube, emulates the performance of rifle length.

Honestly it really depends on your budget for each item. Personally the barrel and trigger are where I would be putting the extra $.

Wow, nice. Never would've thought those pinheads at LaRue to make an affordable part. That's cheaper than RRA 2 stagers.

Honestly, i was more bored than anything and since you guys liked taking up "builds" more than me i was curious what suggestions might surface.

Tell me about the A5 buffer system?

Upperwise, I'll get an 18 and 16 inch model from John Holliger

https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/shop/complete-uppers/spr-sdm-uppers.html

I need to look at the pin spec on the aero lowers, see if they fit that trigger.

I could build up both lowers at the moment, or buy a glock 48. ( they have 15rnd mags for those) or i could order 45 bullets to reload.

Ordered one of these.

Yeah suggestions is definitely price based.

The aero is small pin .154.

Would you actually put both lowers to use immediately or just 1?

Do you want to carry the 48 or ?

I guess buy whatever you plan on actually using. If you need more reloading components but don't care as much about the 48 or AR, get them.

Stock is a preference thing. I like the Magpul SL.

Im going to go with the larue triggers.

Whiteoak lower parts kit.

Maybe one callapsible, one fixed stock.

Might just get two 18 inch 3 gun uppers from whiteoak. They have rifle length gas system, so wont need any special buffer.

I have to pick to lowers up today.

If i get a wild hair while sitting there i may have them add a 48, in which case the lowers will be sitting a while.

I have 2 complete ars now, a 20 inch night rig, ( my old competitive service rifle) and a 16 inch day rig. Both whiteoaks, both group the same.

Aero is basic run pf the mill lowers right? On par with DPMS?

Between the White Oak upper and LaRue trigger you're almost done. :)

For a collapsible stock I kinda like these MFT Battlelink Minimalist jobs.

Aero is higher quality than dpms imo. It seems everything freedom group buys and touches the QC goes to shit, old stuff from dpms, bushmaster, etc was pretty good.

What lower did you get

I got the top one, with built in trigger gaurd.

Just the stock. Here's the whole assembly for $100.

Could probably save a few bucks shopping around and buying the parts individually.

So they had everyone stand outside like rif-raff.

The longer i stood there the more i thought, i could save a lotta money by leaving now and just cancelling the order.

Ever get that feeling?

Like why do i need another pos gun to throw on the pile i already own!

Then o thought, maube I'll drop one lower and add the glock 48, yeah that's what I'll do.. (Quarentine logic)

I asked the goon inside if i could change the order, this threw him for a loop, so the manager had to come think on it, and moan and groan.

For a second i started to get irritated thinking, this is a fine excuse to cancel the entire order. But then he said sure, but added i needed to order the glock online first. On my phone.

Said, I don't wanna enter my credit card over my phone, and so thay was that.

I got two lowers, i really don't need, but anyway.

Very unenthusiastic purchaser.

Goon inside said the glock 48 has a slimmer slide than a regular glock 19.

Wonder if it'll ultimately have a lesser round count life?
