Buakaw singing/acting

There is this weird thing with Asian sports stars, where they all have a brief stint as a pop star. Manny Pacquaio, Samart Payakaroon, Sexyama, Genki Sudo (although to be fair he was an actual musician rather than a novelty act), the list goes on

For more recent examples,

Takeru has been releasing music and sang on live TV.

Korean Zombie has been taking singing lessons from people under the same management firm as him. Though Korean Zombie's case is largely for novelty.

It's a funny trend and it's actually a pretty good way for combat sport athletes to get more attention. I think it's because Asian countries use musical idols as a benchmark for popularity.
