News Cédric Doumbé officially cut from the UFC…

Greg Hardy agrees
Bo Nickal
Nurullo Aliev
Ikram Aliskerov
Raul Rosas
Mateus Mendonça
Rafael Ramos Estevam
Bruno Ferreira
Sam Patterson

are all better MMA prospects than Doumbe and that’s just the guys from the last 3 weeks of the contender series

Saki got KO'd by Rountree (around the time Khalil would go onto kickstart the Walker hype train), so clearly that means that every single Kickboxing crossover sucks ass.

I mean, Mike Jackson is fighting next week...
The lack of experience bs couldn't be more hilarious.

Lol cool story bro. There’s another thread out there that documents mma records of all DW pretender series fighters. Barely a .500 record

How about them wwe crossovers? 50% success rate at a ufc title. Brock and cm crossed over Brock won the hw title with ease

Wwe > mma>k1>amateur wrestling

If it’s above .500 it’s already great, that means on average fighters from DWCS perform better than the rest of roster. And the show is getting significantly better with each season. Most likely we will have a few champions from the guys they signed this season.

Yes great record and also amazing how maybe this year finally we will have some champ or contenders come out, which we haven’t had in a handful of seasons already.

Overwhelming success if I have ever seen any

Wow, what a complete moron you are. It takes time to become a champ and the show hasn’t been around that long.

Season 1: 16 contracts given (2017)

Alex Perez- fought for FLW title
Sean O’Malley- fighting the former champ and the #1 BW contender next
Geoff Neal- #6 ranked WW in the world

Season 2: 23 contracts given (2018)

Sodiq Yusuff- #12 ranked FW
Ryan Spann- #12 ranked LHW
Anthony Hernandez- 4-2 in UFC and on a 3 win streak

Season 3: 29 contracts given (2019)

Jamahal Hill- #6 LHW contender
Andre Muniz- #10 MW contender
Brendan Allen- 8-2 in UFC and on a 3 fight win streak

We just have to wait for guys like Bo Nickal, Ikram Aliskerov, Jailton Almeida, Raul Rosas, Adrian Yanez and the few others to climb the rankings

IDK we see so many kickboxers waltz over into the UFC, Doumbe is a beast. Who gives a shit if he has to work on his TDD? Like the dude is clearly a skilled combatant. Whether its BJJ, Wrestling, or Kickboxing. If you are high level in those fields then MMA should be fine.

Meanwhile guys from 3 decades ago like AA are still winning while nearly a 100 Dana white pretenders Series guys have entered ufc rosters to add “quality” depth to it.

give it a break DWCS success record is horrible. Compared to TUF it looks even worse tif produced title winners and contenders far earlier

In a way it prevents absurdities like in boxing where a guy will crush 30 cans to pad his record.
But it's poorly implemented, too rigid, and doesn't take into account prior experience from other combat sports.
On the other hand, the French-commission rule also means that a fighter with 25 amateur MMA fights who's now having his pro MMA debut cannot fight someone who had a total of 5 pro fights regardless of the amateur guy having 20 MMA fights more. Quite retarded.

It's basically going to make it difficult for any top fighter from another combat sport like Kickboxing or Sambo to transition to pro MMA, because realistically who's going to want to fight a top level kickboxer or sambo fighter who's having his pro debut if you have 5 pro fights or less?

This guy, the former Glory Kickboxing welterweight champion

Lol, you just proved you’re a complete idiot.

Early TUF guys become champions quickly because the UFC roster was ridiculously small back then and it wasn’t even the premier MMA organisation back then. There’s a reason why Dana and Fertittas bought it for like 30 million dollars. Many divisions didn’t even exist back then and TUF was often used to create a weight class from scratch or to produce a title contender as there basically wasn’t any at the time. TUF hasn’t produced any championship level fighters since Kamaru Usman back in 2015.

TUF didn’t have a higher level of competition than DWCS.

Or do you think Kenny Florian would be a contender at MW today? Like a better prospect than Bo Nickal and Ikram Aliskerov?

He is in a weird spot. He is an amateur in mma but he is worth too much to place in DWCS. He is also useless for the UFC to pay because he can’t get sanctioned to help sellout an event.

He should just join Bellator. They will give him appropriate matchups then he can fight Venom Page. He gets his required fights then go try the UFC. It might be too late though.

Instead of name calling me how about you learn to read and comprehend better?

By stating that a dinosaur from 3 decades ago (AA) is still winning today while DWCS alums like Hardy aren’t I had already nullified what you wrote in reply.

Wow, you have outdone yourself! Congrats, you just shattered your own record of stupidity.

Instead of using context and statistics you want to prove a point by showing a single example.

By your logic, I could argue that strikers always KO wrestlers and in 1R, because Masvidal KOed Askren. Case closed

And what’s up with bringing AA up all the time? Yes, he’s still in UFC, but he’s only beating the absolute worst guys there. He’s fought 7 out of current top15 HW on UFC roster and they all beat him. He’s irrelevant
